I don't think it has anything to do with the captaincy. Look at the quality of his second row teammates.... guys like Clint Newton, Cameron Ciraldo, Danny Galea etc. are just fringe first graders at best and Luke Lewis is the only dangerous runner that opposition have to worry about. Our front row is also missing Tim Grant and while Dayne Weston has been massive this season, Sam McKendry hasn't played a great game since we played the Roosters.
That said we're still giving our halves more then enough opportunities to create stuff in the opposition 20. But Walsh keeps going back to kicks when we could probably score with a bit more patience and better ball movement. Jennings keeps getting the ball with no room to move, but still manages to look dangerous. Meanwhile if the ball is on the other side of the field, we never spread it all the way to Jenko when there's space and a genuine chance at him creating something. It always gets hit up in the middle for little or no effect when continuing to spread it would no doubt resort in a linebreak.
