And youngsters like Jennings, Coote, Grant and McKendry.

How does a team with that core, and good youngsters not play finals footy?

Why they didn't make an impact during the finals.

Matt Elliot and his crazy selections/recruitment.

3 people need to leave the club. It is Elliot, Purtell and Walsh. Then we might actually make a real impact during the finals.

Elliot has destroyed the club basically - it no surprise even though we were coming 2nd for so long, our home crowds were terrible. The general populous of Penrith have little faith in the current management.

The problem at penrith is that elliot gets outcoached canberra attacked purtell and roosters attacked walsh and Matt bells lateral movement in defence is not up to it gets stepped at least twice every game and that shouldnt happen at that level msg stop picking your mates elliot ...

I agree but you can add Leary to that list, then I would be happy.

Injuries were the problem today...
Without a ball kicked Grant, Pritchard and House lost to injury... Then first 10 minutes Lewis AND Jenko OUT... Too much quality missing for a finals match

As sad as I am I'm still proud of the boys this season. Maybe abit more luck towards the business end of the season next year. Thanks boys im still more then happy

Not much you can really do about tonight with all the injuries, pretty tough to even blame Elliot IMO other than for picking the Turtle again.

Despite the fact we would likely have lost anyway putting Purtell in the backrow has to rank as one of the most horrible decisions I've seen made by a coach in any sport. How is he expected to be able to tackle Warea Hargreaves when he can't tackle any of the wingers/centers we've come up against in the last 3 months.

We had a real shot this year despite what the trolls on this forum say about our ability as a footy team. We were the second best team in the comp for the first 18 odd rounds, end of. Our momentum in the last 8 odd rounds of the year was stunted by that clown of a coach being unable to drop his bum buddy. Elliot can f**k off back to Canberra as far as I'm concerned.

I can't believe Purtell was played in the side at all, let alone at back row. It was too much to ask to win this given our luck with injuries but that was ridiculous.

Also, Walsh had an ok game. Not spectacular. About his standard all season. With this many changes to the team we were never going to perform. I love Coote but putting him back in at fullback for this game after so long out might not have been the best idea...

He's great at catching though, and his defence isn't bad either. Future superstar for us.

i wasnt taking the piss, i just couldnt see enough in this side that would have got them top 2. I guess i dont know enough about your team to aprieciate what level injuries played. I cant remember the names but the smallish centre and the winger with the yellow boots? Have they been part of the team all year? They looked terrible, certainly weaker links in your side.
And yes the crowds.. What the hell is going on there? You mentioned the coach, but the average joe blow doesnt care or even know whats going in camp they just watch there side if they are winning so there must be something else wrong.

I will continue to support the side, but I have absolutely no fath at all in Elliott as a coach.

Blair and Paulo are 2 of our most talented players and that idiot of a coach plays Purtell and Cooper in front of them the whole weason.

I'm at a total loss as to why we continue to pay that idiot money to coach this side. If he had any decency, he would resign and piss off to England to coach.

I would like to retract my comments about Pearce, much better than our first choice. Still Walsh didn't cost us the game. That dubious honor belongs to Supercoach & his ridiculous selections & the injurys.

While there were a few poor performers out there for us last night, Injury killed any chance we had against a team with classy halves and brimming with confidence. It would've been interesting to see how we'd go with a full team in the finals. Not to be this year, hopefully we get there again next year and don't have such crap luck.

With that spine they obviously aren't serious about the Panthers winning the competition. I'm starting to think that management only want us to be 'competitive' - and are not serious about us being true contenders. Either that, or they are delusional if they think that spine can deliver us a premiership.

You are forgetting that Harry Seijka will be ready for First Grade by next year or year after..and Walsh is off-contract at that point. There is a reason he only signed a two year extension.

Yep that's why Management has no idea. We need a running 5/8th neither Burns or Walsh take on the line the ball struggles to get out wide hopefully Taumata pulls his finger out
