Madden NFL 09

If you do buy it, do yourself a favour and get the US version.

The rest of the world version does not allow you to import NCAA draft classes. I will be ordering mine from Redskins.com on the 12th with my Redskins Draft Hat.

I have US copy of Madden 08 on PS3 and couldnt import the NCAA draft classes I downloaded off the net.

I think you need a US console aswell?

EA said they do not put region coding on their games.... and what I can get out of Playstation is that the PS3 doesnt have region coding anyway.

My brother has MLB The Show (only released in the US) and it works on his system, so it should be OK.

Its not a different version as such, but the no US version just doesnt have the import feature. Its still the same game.

My brother lives in WA.... I am in Newie.

All reports I have had from other forums is that it is the game to get if you wanna play sim baseball.

Review on Madden 09 came out last night in the US. Reading that makes me think same as last years, which was the same as the year before etc. Frustrating because with the new features they added it had great potential, I'll still be purchasing though lol.

Madden is out now at EB.

Been playing it a bit this morning. Actual game I had was a bit all over the place, I was an intercept king after my first game.

I tried 1 superstar mode game at QB and I threw 5 INTs, so I don't know if the INT problem from last year is totally gone or if im still adjusting to playing this game lol.

I've only played 2 matches really. Everything looks nice so far.

Ordered this from PlayAsia.com this morning for $53 incl postage & handling. Should arrive Monday or Tuesday, can't wait, will have to play some more of 07 to get me ready for it, been playing MLB The Show alot lately.

jeez its an awesome game, it really is..

i find the gameplay changed so much, i actually feel like playing each and every game of the season.

As I said I was unable to do that with Madden 08, which was an American copy.

Thoughts on the game.

Superstar mode is exactly the same and useless IMO.

Franchise is just about the same except for realistic stats now.

I can't play a franchise mode with broken progression system.

I'm returning it to EB, although it has more to do with I need my money.

I'll probably buy it again down the track, but what I was hoping to be improved isn't, that that is a let down.

EDIT: On the other hand NFL Head Coach 09 is getting decent feedback, I might have to look into importing that and that'll be more my thing as far as simming seasons and building up rookies go.

I'm still very undecided man.

Last game I had qith 4 min quarters there was 10 INTs all up.

2 for me and 8 for the CPU.

INTs seem to be really easy this year, but maybe as 'My Skill' goes up it'll get different. Might take atleast 10 games until the 'My Skill' makes for good games.

I was looking at getting Head coach from ebay.com. I love the franchise/ Offseason part of Madden so I think I might get both of them, plus it has Tony Dungy on the cover, so it must be good.

What do you mean by broken player progression system?
Do the players attributes increase/decrease like 08?
Is it worth buying if you have 08?
