Manly don't want Hasler in 2012

Exactly what professionalism have the dogs shown? They've really done nothing more than open a checkbook. They've then gone to the media to increase the pressure on Manly. I'm not saying Manly has not done anything wrong (in fact I'm not even saying they've done anything right) but the Bulldogs have hardly been exuding professionalism.

I can't see anything wrong in the Bulldogs approach to signing Des.

The anti-tampering rule was abolished and the Bulldogs went about their business. The didnt procrastinate, the played aggressive.

Well played.

The fact also being, The Bulldogs asked for candidates to come forward. Des approached the club at that time to express his business.

The Bulldogs then went about securing back office staff that are tried & tested.

Peter Mullholand left to Newy for no money. Don't see Dogs fans having a sook. We all wish him all the best etc etc

cb4 your responding to the bloke who still calls him dollar de$ despite his own fans and people posting up links showing des saying it was better finacially for him to stay with manly and they offered more.

the bloke then runs with dogs signed him before manly got him that offer, yet their is no proof of that what so ever.

in summary don't waste your time. i've learnt not to and just laugh.

As Dodger (aka doggiesbro) is ignoring me, but obviously not you, can you ask him why instead of manning up and responding to me he pussied out and put me on ignore?

That's not the case. Hasler was on a short list of 3 and was head hunted. The other two declined, and those discussions never hit the media due to Greenberg's professionalism, the discussions with Hasler did, strategically placed by him at the time as his original intention was to stay and he had hoped the elevated media pressure would push things to his advantage.

No, they didn't do anything wrong. However to harp on about their professionalism is a bit much. As I said, they did nothing more than open their checkbook.

It really makes no difference who approached who. It happened at a time when Manly could not afford to up the offer to De$. I did not state categorically that De$ approached the dogs and I do not realyl care either way. The information most of have to go on is printed in the Terrorgraph and half of what they publish there is made up.

It does matter, because you are leading people to believe something that did not happen, and influencing a view against Hasler that is not true.

So when are the Bulldogs going to change their name to the Pirates? Seeing how all they do is plunder and pillage other clubs rather than develop anything within their own ranks it'd be far more fitting. Then again being the "Dogs" suits pretty well too.

It does not matter in the context of the point that I was making. Manly were not in a position to offer him any more money at the time he agreed to terms with the dogs. Regardless of who approached who.

So Foran can leave now? It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up a Rabbitoh, they will probably throw 700k at him.

Chequebook. This isn't America, we spell things correctly here.

Then again, you are a Manly fan. Illiteracy is expected.

That's Rugby League mate.

Coach's dont coach for free.

The more professional set up won the battle for the best coach.

Good thats settled then - nothing worse than having this issue going on longer - Des is a good coach and won us two comps - lets see if he wins one with the dogs.
