Off topic slightly, I find it hilarious that Dodoger, aka doggiebro, has ignored me. It doesn't stop me handing his ass to him in every single argument, it just stops him from seeing it, everyone else gets to LOL@Dodger, and he doesn't 'defend' himself :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I hear there's a bloke named Dymock who might be looking for a job come 2013.

I hear your still struggling to accept des took less to join the dogs and jim has always said he wants to learn under des and will be happy to move aside...:lol::lol:

I'll be dissapointed if any player left because of Des leaving, but the MWRLFC is what matters most, this club rose from the ashes to become world champions in a few short years.
NOBODY is above the club, we have been through worse, and regardless of our roster in 2013 we will survive and continue to be a successful club.

2 points here. Firstly, Manly's offer came around grand final time, long after Des had signed with the dogs. Money was irrelevent since he was already on his way out the door.

Secondly, Dymock wanted to be assistant under Des. Now that Egan has been signed, Dymock's best option is running the water. It'll be one step forward and 2 steps back. The dogs are treating Dymock terribly.

I couldnt care less what Dessie says to the media to deflect the issue
there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Bulldogs will be paying him more than Manly were

You hear this "im not going for money, i actually took less for this oppertunity/challenge/change/bullshit" all the time, im sure it happens on the rare occasion, but i dont buy it and im genuinely shocked most take this throw away line as gospel

I hate Manly but I feel for youfans, I would be furious if a club legend of Souths did that to us. Hasler is a MASSIVE drama queen, and has continuously shown he thinks the world revolves around him

LOL manly fans trying to now blame the dogs for everything. Blame your board you muppet.

Dymock didn't even want to take over for us when Moore left, he has said multiple times he cant wait to work under the best in the business and learn the ropes from Des. He even said that he will step aside if Des comes over early.

Keep trying clown.

Only people to feel sorry for here is manly fans, due to their board ruining their club.

And what do you think he would say? He HAS to say that, idiot. Do you think he's going to say:

"I've done my time and its bullshit the club have signed another coach when it should have been me taking over. I will not take this lying down and will fight tooth and nail for my position, and will oppose the signing of Hasler as much as possible?"

Idiot. Dodger. Synonmous.

Firechild if you were ever close to the actual facts instead of twisting them people would take you seriously.

Money was relevent. Had Penn and Co acted with any degree of professionalism in April, or there after when Hasler's resigning would have been a walk in the park to what it then unfolded into the deal would have been done and dusted. His availability, frustration and record made him a prime target for a club where money wasn't an issue for the right person. Hasler was actually 3rd on Greenberg's list, having made significant plays at the first two and been declined he then went after Hasler.

Hasler willwork with 2 assistants, as most coaches do (and Hasler has done for a number of yrs at the Eagles), Dymock will be one of those two.

Dymock always knew that he was a stop gap option what ever happened. The CEO's brief was to get the best, experienced, proven person available, which he did. He's not employed to be a nice guy, he's employed to get results.

Exactly. The only people that swallow that line are the fans of the club that bought the person and the hacks at News Ltd papers.

How is there any challenge if he's taking his coaching staff and attempting to lure as many players as he can?

Yes, money was a factor but you've taken my words out of context. It was not a factor when Manly offered more and De$ had already signed. Money was always the issue, De$ has deep pockets and short arms, he loves the money.

Ken Arthurson on Hasler

Source: Sydney Morning Herald

''It's one thing to leave the club and go somewhere else - I don't object to that. But to decimate the place that you're leaving, to tear it to pieces, that's another thing,'' the long-time Manly official said.

''The thing that disappoints me the most is that Des gave me an assurance that he wouldn't do that. But he's broken his word and I'm terribly disappointed with that.

''He's always held my respect, but that's diminished.

''For him to assure me he wouldn't do anything to decimate the place, or to pull it to pieces - and he's obviously done so, there's irrefutable evidence - he's just broken his word.

''I spoke to him when I learnt that he was leaving, I rang him and said: 'Des, if it was up to me I would sack you immediately because I'd be concerned that you'd try to induce players to leave the club.'

''He said: 'No, no, I wouldn't do that.' I'm enormously disappointed because I've been good friends with him for a lot of years. It's beyond the pale. Manly's done a lot for that bloke, they really have. Whatever accolades he's had, he's got from the Manly club.

"Whatever accolades he's had, he's got from the Manly club."

This is my issue with clubs. Alot of the club board members feel the players and coaches should be indebted to board members for everything they achieve.

Its like that scene in The Damned United when the chairman has a go at Clough for spending to much money. But it pays off, Clough wins the premiership and the board members act like they f**king did it all themselves.

Most of em are old geriatric bastards clamouring for their last few wanes of attention.

Like Clough, Hasler may not be doing things right... But hes a bloody talented bastard at what he does.

Who has Hasler "poached"? An assistant and a talent scout. Arko is carrying on like the entire first grade side has crossed the harbour.

And the irony of Arko

Boyd, Knight, Walker, Brown, Dorahy, O'Neill, Branighan, Irvine, Higgs, Hamilton, Roberts, Carroll, Sedaris, Hill, Shearer, Lyons........
