I honestly hope Manly can't manage the deal and it falls through, and Panthers withdraw their offer. As good as he is, he isn't worth that sort of money.

Raiders have gone through a lot of crap to keep Carney happy, and leaving them when they have tabled a more then decent offer is just f*cking sad. Best of luck to them. Seeing Manly take him would really suck.

Read about this in RLW yesterday. Raiders are after Ivan Henjak whose been in a bit of trouble at the Western Farce. He's seen as an ideal replacement if Carney leaves.

I reckon if he goes anywhere it'll be to Penrith for the Matt Elliot factor.

Can't believe the sort of money being thrown at him.

We have apparently tabled an offer of around $300 - $350K per year. If he doesn't want to stay with the club that's groomed him since age 14 for that sort of money, then bye bye.

I'm still praying that he'll see through the $ signs and realise how good he'll have it down here. Surely a chance to win a premiership with the blokes you've been playing with for nearly a decade has to be worth something??

I agree, he was a dynamic little player, with a lot of heart and passion (and aggression) which I think Manly will miss, BUT we had to make room for upgrades...sucks...

Certain players should never have to leave a club because of cap restraint !

Fear. Fear and jealousy. And some hatred. They know they can't compete so they have to look for excuses.
Notice how Storm fans generally don't throw out the cap cheating allegations. They're confident in their club's ability, and deserve to be. The rest are scared.
