Its from 2 or 3 years ago.

I have a theory on who it involves and why this has come up as a result of the CC......

What if (hypothetically of course) the CC were ask in ng questions of certain "identities" and money they "allegedly" paid to players for inside info or match fixing.

What is the businessman or "identity" they were questioning said "yeah I paid him money, but it was was for salary cap stuff, not match fixing"

Good way to throw something back on the club and get yourself out of match fixing allegations.

Would also explain a businessman saying he made payments to multiple players from multiple clubs.

All theoretical of course.

Terrible that these things will potentially impact your for an against....

However, that's not the point here. There was an allegation against the Eagles, scurrilous or not. Manly challenged the nrl to come inspect them. They claim nothing to hide and no wrong doing. They wanted to clear their name and protect their brand.
Now, co-operation is limited. Why?? SEEMS as if they do have something to hide. As I've said before, I'm sure they didn't think the investigation would be as thorough. Best play for them would be to get it over with.
