$50k for a player returning from a couple of years in a sub-standard sport to play 1/3 of a season? Pro-rata it's the equivalent of $150k for the year. FMD - not much less than lol@50ff$ wanted to register Inglis's contract for.

The only person who loses out on not seeing through the back-ended contract is Gasnier himself.

it's not that hard to figure out is it?

alot of braindead goobers in this forum.

Hmmm... You say you are studying at UNSW. I can tell by your post that you are not studying law.

1. Gasnier signed a contract that was only allowed to be registered if it was backened.
2. Gasnier plays the first 2 years at very low wage.
3. Gasnier retires before his contract balloons.
4. The Dragons get Gasnier for about 1/4 of his total worth.

Tell me how this is not a salary cap breach?

They can't force the bloke to do something he doesn't want to do. And if they tried to make the Dragons pay him and include it in the cap, they'd be laughed out of court.

It could be all innocent and he's had enough. How can you prove otherwise? To do so would be slander.

IMO the Dragons have put one over the NRL and it cracks me up. It wouldn't bother me one bit if another club did it. According to most i here he's overrated anyway, so in no way did he contribute to winning the comp last year and he's obviously in agreeance with you all that he's just not up to it any more. He's a hack and he's gone.

Question is, if he's so average, then why all the fuss?

What. Should the NRL force him to play? Isn't that slavery? Should the NRL force Saints to pay him after he's retired?

:lol::lol::lol:

Saints were too good for the NRL when they did this deal and far, far, far too good for you blokes when it mattered.

Enjoy the LOL's. I haven't stopped LOL'ing since October 3, 2010.

He doesn't have to be paid or play; the Dragons need to have 600,000 reduced from their cap in 2012 and 2013

:lol::lol::lol:

Why? How? If I quit my job my boss stops paying me for my services. Does that mean he's not allowed to recruit someone to fill my role with the budget freed up? :lol::lol:. What country are you from? North Korea?

You f**king idiot.

Here's a video for you to cheer you up. Its funnier now than ever I reckon.

Enjoy the good times. And enjoy 15th spot too.

Except this is the NRL, let me remind you of the Melbourne Storm scandal, the punishment I'm proposing far more lenient and not going to destroy the NRL. Tainted premiership.

Yeah. Good luck proving all that champ.

The defence merely points to the forced departures of Neville Costigan, Jeremy Smith & Jarryd Saffy from the championship squad in order to fit Gasnier in over 4 years.

The defence rests. Just like the Roosters in the Grand Final.

You must be fooling yourself if I'm the only one who thinks this :lol: People in powerful places will be all over this. This is just the beginning...

Prove that he intended to.
I don't have to the law doesn't work like that.

It doesn't matter, the contract was signed under the agreement that he see it out and the pay should be taken off the cap
:lol: Wests are shedding players like it is going out of style (possibly because they are over the salary cap for next year). Are you going to make them honor all their contracts?

Ummmmm. His signature on a contract would be proof of his intent. He's allowed to change his mind, but foregoes any remunerration on the basis he breached his contract.

Write a letter to the NRL pal. You tell em.

So where are the posts from you jumping up & down like the little pole-smoking bitch you are about every other player who left the game whilst a contract was in place?

Says alot about you that you harbour more hate towards the Dragons than you do support for the Roosters. Is that because of your club's repeated on and off-field disgraces? Or do blokes in red Vs for some bizarre reason draw out those barely-latent desires of yours to lay in a bathtub while men pee on you?

What if he had a career ending injury? Would his money be expected to come off the cap?

Lack of motivation is no different. Can tell you're a uni student. What are you studying? Surely n ot business or law. You'll get eaten alive in the real world son. Ideals don't fly out here, no matter how hard you want em to.

Let me guess - an arts or social science student?
