And as I've said before, surely they don't think that will be the way throughout their careers. Are they going to jump ship every time a club does not want one or more of the brothers. They're dreamin.

I don't think it really matters that they can't do it for their entire careers (although, there's nothing to say they can't at this point)... they're certainly in a position to do it now. It's rare enough that 3 brothers get the opportunity to play NRL footy together, they've probably dreamed about it since they were young. I don't begrudge them one bit for doing what they can to realise that dream, even if it is fleeting. Then again, a 4 year deal is hardly fleeting either. More than half the NRL is after either 3 or 4 of the brothers - they're definitely in a position to dictate terms at this point and their manager knows it.

Well, the stream i was listening to was shitting itself, but Midley didn't say much that we didn't already know. Said it's in Hages hands, which doesn't fill me with confidence.

Thanks for the link, I caught most of it. Yeah not much there we didn't already know though. The club will keep talking to the boys every week (as far as a deal goes they've only spoke with their manager so far), and working through a deal to get them to commit.

Apart from that he just said the Knights are really invested in developing and then keeping local juniors, which I had to laugh at given the discussions that have gone on today.

It's ridiculous that negotiations can take this long. How hard can it be to make them an offer the bulldogs won't match?

Midley is about to give an interview on KOFM. Right now.

So while another club has allegedly put together contracts for them and gotten them to agree to terms our moves so far have been talking to them and letting them know they're part of the future plans?

FMD. That's awesome news, as it the news that Hagan will be handling this

Head up guys. It's not worth losing your mind over. I mean Sione looks like a great player coming. Channel looks quiet solid. I have no idea how Pat goes. Though seriously it's not like losing Inglis or Hayne or something.

Head up. I am sure the Knights will bounce back with or without the Mata'Utai boys. The first thing needed to be done is address the clubs powers to be.

No. You don't let a junior like Sione go. There is no excuse at all for it.

If it ends up being true that they've signed with the Dogs, the Knights can get stuffed. I'm losing so much interest in this team it's not even funny.

How about how we apparently already agreed to their manager's terms weeks ago?

Pretty hard apparently.

Would be nice if Boyd would make his f**king mind up, Wayne and Brissy have bent over there.

I think in terms of money Knights should be able to match if not increase that side of the contract.

As far as coach, roster, facilities and overall organization it is a no contest.

How much of the cap did we lose this year? Including Packer in January? Aren't we up to around 700k? 800k? Unless the club is looking at a first class wonder player to pinch soon, then we should be able to match whatever the Bulldogs or basically any club is offering them.

What are you talking about? It's EXACTLY like losing Ignlis or Hayne... He's a superstar in the making and we need to keep players like him if we're EVER going to get anywhere....
