MCK no doubt received the same "why you were dropped and whatcha got to do about it" talk as benji and brooks...i guess / am hoping Madge has seen enough to believe he'll respond ...brooks being on the bench will at least keep benj and billy on the front foot...curious nonetheless
It's a big match to find this out, thought Blore might have got a look in. Though still a chance I suppose.

Well at least we don’t expect to win ...Always a good place to start ...Re Brookes. I’m not going to say a word.
Benji and Walters look good though...I can see a high tempo game from us with us controlling things..with those two playing...Walters will have no confidence trouble..League is in his blood. From Good stock

No Garner and Twal is putting us on really shaky ground, especially have Parra have their full strength squad (if they played in a grand final this would be their 1-17).

This is the ultimate test for our boys. Our squad have half the talent the Eels do, but hopefully they can show a mental toughness the Eels lack.

I'm predicting a slim Parra win, but we will absolutely give it to them and make them work for it

I just want to see the following

1. Solid defence on our line. They need to get lucky or score under extreme pressure.

2. Composure when under the pump, stick to the plan, no panic, no lapses.

3. Discipline with ball and minimal errors.

4. Effort for the full 80 minutes.

5. Start catch up, with enough time to make it a contest in the last ten.

6. No bad injuries, no suspensions etc.

If we can keep our heads, we can challenge this mob because their forwards are old school knuckleheads and their backs don’t like being tackled.

We have the best hooker and two of the best finishing wingers in the game. Benji will be on for sure. He’s smarter than most of the eels side put together.

AD is long overdue for a good game. I’m fine with brooks as a foil.

Allo and Packer have lifted. Remember that Packer can out-tough any one in the comp easily if he wants to. N Brown will not have it his own way this time. We don’t cop bully’s. We will own him and the disloyal flip Freddy Mercury.

Back to grunt and thug footy for us. That’s Ok.

Manly proved the eels are pretending, it’s just time for us to ensure they surrender their mindless and undeserved premiership ambitions. Their fans are getting sick ideas in their heads about their chances. It’s not good for them.

If we can’t beat them, I will settle for wrecking their season as a favour to the game generally. And they should get on knees and thank us for that.

The eels haven’t played a really good game of footy since 1986.

Ef them and everything they stand for. Just on last years game I went to. I want my revenge. I want it served cold.

We ain’t beating full strength Parra with that side. 3 of our starting pack and our only strike back are out
I agree. All I hope for is 1000% effort and something for us to build on going into the following month. We just cant simply beat these top 8 teams when we're at half strength.

I just don't see us winning this game. Pretty much every Eel player apart from Grant is better than their opposite number.

TSP, this could just go a long way in deciding the outcome. Packer and controlled aggression v Brown and his wayward aggression.

Unfortunately Parra have a goal kicker, Tigers have someone who can kick a ball.

Yep, upsets are what make our game so great.
A goal kicker would have helped a lot though. Why this is not our first priority is beyond baffling.

Will be interesting to see how MCK goes. He's had an error in him this season and I thought his demotion was justified for that reason. If he doesn't cut it this week I think Blore is next man up.

I think McQueen looked very short on fitness when he got out there last week. Maybe he was taking it easy because the game was gone but I saw him struggle to get onside quite a few times

Yeah, I feel for McQueen, he should of never have been signed and was never given a chance. At least he got some dollars out of it, hope he gets another gig, with a bit of footy in him, you never know.
MCK has done some surprising things for us, hope he has a strong game, I have never seen Blore play, but there is a bit of hype around him, so it would have been interesting, yes, he will get his chance.

Those long range kicks by Mbye last week were tough kicks and didn’t miss by much. He’s got the idea. If it’s to be got I’m confident Mbye will kick it..He’s got the Leo laser focus which overcomes his overall lack of kicking..when he startes again after not kicking for a while he clickes straight back into it pretty much....He’s accurate for just a kicker..He’s a 76odd % kicker ..u can’t complain about that can you..

I hear what you are saying WA but the point is, Parra get Moses back and he kicks at mid 80's Mybe is currently at 65.5% - I'd be much happier with 80+

As Tigerm stated,
Why this is not our first priority is beyond baffling
just hope that Momo not only comes back as a better footballer and can hold down a 1st grade spot (he will I'm sure) but his kicking % rises as well.

Overall Mbyes at 69-70% with what seems like a lot of out wide kicks. We arnt losing games blatantly because Mbye is kicking, like in the past...Its going well enough to not be a big priority...When one pops up Im sure he will be looked at..Things are going ok

Gee I hope I am wrong but we may be giving back a fair chunk of our for an against in this game...I'm worried.
I hope not. Down on troops and up against some real firepower, this will be a good measure of the team’s resilience, if they can maintain the grit it won’t be a blow out but coming off a huge win usually results in a reality check for most teams.
