How will Talau go handling Sivo? I hope Jennings hogs the ball, as usual, so Sivo only gets a run up the middle out of their own half.

I think he'll go ok...pretty much assume one unstoppable try but Sivo is one of four needing to pass a fitness test so he may be a little cautious...then again maybe not

Did anyone else notice in the last 17 seconds of the manly parra game that the clock jumped back up to 34 seconds while they were checking something upstairs?

...I had money on manly, so I was on the edge of my seat for the last few minutes. If the game is tight, I have a funny feeling that strange happenings will sway the match in parra’s favor.

The Panthers are a much better side than the eels and without one player, Happy, I think we would have beat them.

Our roster is a long way from elite, but I will go back to our “same paging” a la Broncos.

Madge knew more about the broncs than seibold did.

No coach works harder and he’s able to craft any kind of game he wants. Right know, he’s found a way into the players heads.

If we aren’t playing well in the first 20, I expect a switch of tactics to bloodbath.

I expect the eels will try to turn it on, to stamp out our cruelty early, in case we get ideas.

Hopefully our captain will tough it out!

I’m looking forward to it.

They have a team of heroes but they are not a hero team.

I wouldn't like either side, you jut know its going to hurt in the end.

OR

Send TSP into Sivo's room tonight and castrate him:D:p:eek:

Didn’t the eels officials go over there and bribe their cops to get him out?!

He was arrested for looking at a barman’s wife handbag or something.

And they allegedly tried to sign Mary.

refused to release stefano as well.

knuckleheads. A grubby club that needs a good belting.

Talau will be up against Fergo, and Nofa against Sivo.

I'm really worried about our right side defense

Nofa, Lawrence, Benji, MCK
Vs
Sivo, Jennings, Brown, Lane

Jesus Christ Mikaele out now

That’s 3 of our 4 first choice props

This isn’t going to be pretty

Mikaele is out with a knee problem, replaced by Oliver Clark
I was wondering why Luke Garner wasn't picked, Tigers site says due to concussion.

Benji and Walters look good though...I can see a high tempo game from us with us controlling things..with those two playing...Walters will have no confidence trouble..League is in his blood. From Good stock
Walters and Grant look good together, they put together some slick little short plays last week on the left of the ruck, they’ve obviously played a bit together, starting to wonder if Grant might have purposely kept the ball away from Brooks to get his mate a run?. There have been a few time I’ve noticed Brooks wanting the ball and it going to Reynolds or Grant taking it himself. Not that I care I rather a win

Maguire would be as fully aware as the rest of us that we need a goal kicker but what we don't want is for him to sign on a player just for his goal kicking ability who is not a good fit in other areas.

Since we're no hope of being top 4 this year I reckon that Madge is being patient waiting for the right player to come on the market or, as OTT mentioned, maybe he thinks that Momo will take on the goal kicking duties next year.

Maguire is exactly the type of coach that we needed [especially after the players having to endure that sneeringly whiny bitch Jason Taylor and the turncoat Cleary who lumbered us with some terrible signings]
Madge seems to be very driven to succeed.

Rebuilding and turning a perennial #9 team into a top 4 contender would be huge for his reputation as a coach.
We just need to score under the posts

Don't give up hope yet. Parra showed they were soft as butter v Manly, and have a few players with injury clouds. If we show up like we did in the opening exchanges against Brisbane, with Aloiai and Packer leading the way, I give us a shot.
Yep, better tactics will always beat a better team.

e.g. Ali beating Foremann with rope a dope, 1969 GF Balmain vs Souths, Leicester winning the EPL.

Benji and Walters were both dropped after the Titans loss..so according to Benji they’ve had time to work their combinations in the opposing team..ironic huh
