You think one more quality backrower and a consistently good Levi puts us top 4?
I think with the current competition, a top 5-10 edge player, Levi playing in current form every week and maybe another 1-2 capable props for depth means we're competing for 4th.

I think i know what everyone else is thinking...............lets throw the bank at Robbie Rochow, he is a future rep star afterall

But seriously, out of those, I would consider

Rhyse Martin,
Tevita Pangai Junior,
Zane Tetevano,
Kyle Turner,

non of which i would consider "top 5-10"

Pretty thin. We'll hope that Fermor comes through but also that as people shift on contract players around someone quality hits the market.

TPJ and Mau are my picks from that list and both come with big question marks injury wise.

Don’t think any listed are better than our current best Fitz and Guerra so buying any of them is not an upgrade except for injuries.
Barny isnt doing too bad also. Just needs to miss less tackles.

Barny ranking among forwards.

Try ass - 4th
Total try involvement - 2nd
tries - 3rd
Points 4th
tackles - 3rd
1 on 1 tackles - 3rd

We fair pretty well in most stats except offloads. Not sure if that's tactical or we just dont have the ability. We could do with an offload in our game and Levi to continue to improve.

Mostly though the squad needs to mature and get consistent, we have a lot of players well under 100 games - average is probably 60 games. Over the next season or 2 after this one we'll be starting to look good I hope.

Rewatched the games from the past 4 weeks and it is clear as day that Mann needs to start at 5/8th. Watson is a great 14. Anyone can see that and did a good job filling in at 6 but Mann is a great fit for us. Sticks to the right side so doesn't get in Ponga's way as Ponga likes to go left. Keeps it real simple in both kicking and passing which is what we need at the moment.

Is he our budget Cameron Munster??

I think it's just good having both Mann and Watson in the team. We can play either at 5/8 or hooker according to our needs.
Mann I think is a bit more versatile with more of a passing and kicking game. Watson I think is a bit quicker getting the ball out of dummy half than Mann and has a bit more push running the ball and runs from dummy half better than Mann. Watson isn't a natural kicker but mention was made today that he had been working on it.
It's a benefit to mix and swap them up as we need to.
I'm expecting Lino to get a run at 5/8 when Ponga is out for SOO, mostly because of his goal kicking. I don't think Barney is experienced enough to be our first call goal kicker.

Looking forward to the battle between Ramien and Latrell. If Ramien has a big game against Latrell it could just about secure him a blues jumper

Me too, Guerra might struggle next year but still need someone to take his place, what we have/are showing is quite good enough, Fermor might be the one or possibly Ese’ese if King, JSaf and Saulo keep getting better.
