We're not going to miss Levi if Watson plays like that every week.
His service is pretty second rate, but he makes up for it with his raw enthusiasm and speed out of dummy half. At least he did tonight anyway. I hope he can maintain this form.

Grade 1 striking at worst, 1 week with early guilty plea. I reckon he might get off all together or maybe go for contrary conduct and a fine.

C’mon Tigers. Damn. If Canberra win by 18 or more (I think) they jump over us in the ladder into 4th.

Another outstanding defensive performance and it needed to be with that f**king disgraceful performance from the referees giving Souths every possible.

How the f**k can the blokes in charge change their decisions by being pressured by a player.

Piss them off.

When you think about it, when was the last time we conceded a try from being outplayed? The last 4 tries we've conceded have been sloppy. Not the kind of brilliant play by the opposing team kind of try.

That was a really tough win, we just turned up and got physical with them from the very first set. Big credit to DSaf and Barnett I thought they were both great. Also Mann and Lino both did a good job helping Pearce out, neither of them overplayed their hand, just did what was asked of them. Watson has really shown his worth over the last few weeks, being versatile is both a gift and a curse sometimes and early in the season he wasn’t getting a fair crack at any position but hooker looks like it’s his jam. While he can be lacking in certain areas his energy, effort and desire cannot be questioned. He was our best player tonight imo.

As others have already said the reffing was terrible, Souffs got just about every 50/50 call and some of the double standards on show were just baffling. The penalty against us after the punch up was a joke. Also when the ref called a knock on and then went up to the video ref after Burgess yelled at him, that was really weak officiating.

While I hope Dan doesn’t get suspended I’m glad that he stood up to those grubs. The Burgess brothers have been the media darlings of the NRL for a long time now regardless of the rubbish that they dish up on field and it was great to see Dan draw a line in the sand to show that we’re not going to be pushed around anymore. He took some tough runs in the second half when all three of them were going after him too. It was hilarious when Tom Burgess knocked himself out trying to put a shot on Dan.

This is a bit nit-picky but I would say that we could have played that last 10 mins a bit better. We must have made 4 or 5 basic errors near the end of the game which had me feeling really nervous even though we had a decent lead. Our defence held solid in the end but we probably could have put them away a bit earlier rather than giving them a few shots at us late in the game. That being said I’d still rate it as one of our toughest performances in a very long time.

Only issue we had tonight was our mistakes. Completion rate of 70% which is our worst for quite some time, Souths had 65% also, rain didn’t help with that I feel.

There is no doubt about it ... this club has never defended this well.

Blokes who were always on the back foot and being run over and looking like they were maybe half fit the past few seasons are now getting off their line and smashing the opposition.

It is an incredible turnaround.

Our edges are no longer being torn apart. We aren't being pounded throught the middle. We are winning the ruck.

Just hope it can be maintained. After being so feeble for so long you still expect them to derp from set to set and get dominated with and without the ball.

But atm, this is just beautiful to watch. They looked like they were doing it easy tonight - granted they had a week's rest.

worst referring I've seen this year. The refs were totally out of their depth

There's losing the 50/50 calls and then there's blatantly having the rules of the game ignored. Add to that refs clearly being intimidated by a group of players and seemingly powerless to take any control.

At this level, what we witnessed tonight is a massive concern for the NRL and must be addressed publicly by Graham Annesley ASAP. This can't be swept under the carpet.

Got so much to say but need some more time to take in that gusty amazing win. Just want to say one thing:

How many players in the last decade have taken on a Burgess and come up on top? Not many. Saifiti took on all three by himself and came out on top. I'm gonna say that was the best prop forward performance I have ever seen from a Knight. For a young lad to come into a game against the best pack in the game and without his older brother Klemmer to help him out. He stood up and dominated the opposition all by himself.

Wow and wow and wow!!
