I'm normally optimistic but given we almost always fall to pieces at Brookvale and the state of our backline, will be surprised if we can get the win here.

Fortunately we're now in a position where a loss wouldn't be terminal.

Forwards are full strength so we need them to pitch in more.
1-Sharpe
2-Anyone but Jenkins. Mociodreke or McCarthy or a cardboard cut out of Tuala
3-Lucas
4-Maps
5-Marzhew
Isn’t too bad considering we’re missing our 4 best backs.

Who are Manly going to have out? Just Cherry-Evans and Jake Turbo I think? Obviously Chez is a big out for them.

I tend to think of Lucas on left so him left centre and Mapapalangi right centre alongside Jenkins as in Cup

I don't know how many teams can win with 4 of their starting back 5 out. Especially when 1 of them is our best player. Plus Olakau'atu and Turbo are probably out to prove that they are Origin worthy...

Don't think it'll be a bad game for us but don't see where our points are going to come from.

Weird selections, Cant centre? Jones R on ext bench this week with Crossland returning but not last week when not deemed playing well enough. Mapa and Jenkins Cup centres but one on wing the other ext bench.
Happy with 6 to 17 selection

Slowest and least mobile centre pairing in NRL history? I'm happy to see more Cant but definitely wasn't expecting to see him playing in the centres.

Lucas is easily as fast and mobile as a lot of modern NRL centres

Can't speak to Cant though

Looking at that backline, I think we just need to chalk this one up as one of our remaining losses for the year.

I'd be happy/confident enough seeing one of those blokes filling in somewhere, but all of them at the same time can't end well surely. 1, 2, 4, and 6 have a tiny handful of games between them, and Lucas is no veteran yet either (although I have no worries about him).

It'll be an absolute miracle if we get out of this one, and it'll be on the back of stellar performance in the middle of the field if we do. I just can't see it. I hope I'm wrong. Hastings has to step up a LOT and take more control than he did this weekend past, because he's surrounded by a bunch of kids.

Lucas is one of my favorite Knights players but a strike centre he ain't! Last couple of weeks Fermor and Tupounia have done well in the centres. Meh, Manly are pretty bad without DCE so maybe we can snag a win.

As someone else mentioned, the forward pack is full strength so the path to a win is something like 6-4 or 10-6 lol.

So pretty much what we've already been doing..

Pretty difficult to know what to expect with this game. Our team, unless we make errors and give away penalties, is more likely to not lose it than win it, so few points on offer for us but (hopefully) won’t let too many in.
