Who you going to get with the credentials of Maguire who’ll actually want to coach the Tigers. You can bag him all day long but realistically, he’s about the best we’re gonna get. The only other option would be to take a punt on something unconventional like the Walkers, but I’m with the club on this one, stability in the coaching role is on thing we haven’t had since Sheens. I still think Maguires a year away from having a top 8 side. Realistically a mid comp finish would be a fair result this year.
Wow, It’s like rent a like isn’t it.One call and their all there hahaha

Firstly your right , It’s hard to find any coach with real time credentials as bad as Madge. Second, good coaches have been known to become bad coaches for whatever reason and Third, if If u include coaches that have become available since Madge failed to impress (like from the start of his tenure) or coaches that have been asked to leave a club because of impatience from the board and little else, I’m sure with all your guys footballing nous, with a little effort you can think of someone that we could have attempted to lure to the club, who has some idea how to first identify when a potential /current problem exists, and then be able to fix it..preferably on the run.Things that seem to be beyond Madges grasp.

Problem is with all this optimism for Madge, other far superior coaches will continue to come and go while we sit on our hands and wait for Madge to suddenly get it right on game day.

Don’t tell me that if Madge walked away or more likely was dropped, the club would slip into a state of irreparable disrepair because the chosen one has left. There’s only a couple of spots between us and the spoon for goodness sake.

Anyway happy to eat my words as from today if proven wrong. It’s not something I’d be rushing to the bookies with gleeful anticipation tho.I’m sure your the same.

(Regardless - and coaching availability was not part of my original point- I still think Constant Optimism has been the cause of more problems than answers since Taylor stepped on the scene. But since you bought it up, redirect some of that immovable optimism and I’m sure over time you’ll come up with someone who for starters could have fixed this Brooks problem by now, or simply been able to avoid it in the first place and also.. hang on where’s my list)

ps didn’t Hook in the p/m interview sound like someone you want to follow ..yea I know it was only the cowboys. Still it seemed like an instant transformation of belief from the Dragons team/ captain / halves

I think Brooks’ days are numbered. In saying that with Douehi as a foil, Brooks might come good, there was a period from 2005-2010 Benji had some ordinary seasons, when they brought Lui into the side it made a hell of a difference to Benjis game. Douehi will draw a lot of attention.

Maguires mistake for today, Chee Kam
On the bench. Otherwise I quite like the side. Still think the roosters will win by 13+ maybe as much as 30.

Roosters have a big mobile pack, Chee Kam goes ok, but I’m not sure if he is what we need in this match, hopefully he has a blinder and I can eat pie. I think Mbye is in the right spot as a utility, it gives us options if someone goes down, mikaele and that other young bloke should go ok.

Tigers are two or three steps too flat, in attack they’re no threat at all, players in the way of each other, you can’t run any set plays with that sort of shape

They played a well oiled machine today, everyone knows what they are suppose to do and do it. I’m sure the Tigers are told what to do but they under the guy running the team i.e. Brooks, simply are not good enough.

Has Madge got a Plan B or C?

He cannot pick BJ or Brooks next week, that has to be the start.
