You blokes have been very harsh on Madge. I think on the whole, he has done well with the resources he has.

Lol Cleary had the same resources last year and he had our defence for the majority of the year the best it has ever been in the history of the JV. Outside of an improvement in Chee Kam, we have regressed this year.

I know Packer, McQueen, Taylor and Reynolds have been told they can leave but I’d be adding these guys too:

* Esan Marsters
* Matt Eisenhuth

Someone will take Marsters, maybe even see if Newcastle will swap for Ramien. Doubt someone would be stupid enough to take Eiso but you never know.
Marsters to the Dogs, maybe a swap for Renouf Toomaga or Ofahiki Ogden.
Moses Mbye to the Titans for someone we need ( Wallace or Peachey) maybe.
Reynolds to Knights or Dragons most likely.
Can't see anyone likely to take Packer, McQueen or Taylor

Clearly you missed the part where I said last night was unlucky. His other impact injuries are worrying

Your whole post inferred he was brittle. The unlucky part was to save face. Didn’t matter who was in that spot last night, the fate would have been the same.

You're literally arguing with me on a point I agree with lol so Idk how to respond to that

OK, I don't do FB or any other social stuff. But I just think that he wasn't looked at by other clubs, that says a lot, imo.

And Robbie was languishing in nsw Cup personally calling coaches begging them to pick him up, all passed

Regressed for sure, IMO and I say this sarcastically, well maybe not, the Fijian captain may have been a better option than the Kiwi international in the centres. How far has he gone backwards?

I have seen an improvement in Nofauloma though. Ie an improvement.

Now to defend the coach, like any team hit by injuries, we will never ever know, but it hasn’t helped the cause re Packer, Reynolds, Fonua, Matulino and in the past 2 weeks, Mybe, Farah & Aloiai

It’s very hard to compare seasons on the bases of coaches due to the different variables and injuries, form, suspensions etc.

We were never going to beat manly but should have beat the dogs.

I think we need to press the panic button now as our estranged players have a point to prove.

When we play to a system and it doesn’t work, we have to mix it up a bit.

Madge is going ok, but these lapses are killing us and we need to show much more enterprise in attack.

One thing I noticed last night, and in other games this year, is how poor we are at controlling the ruck and how this then has an effect on the defensive line not being set. Multiple times last night I saw both tacklers left lying on the ground while the Manly player got a quick play the ball and then they were running at a scattered defensive line. So easy for teams to make meters that way, and it meant that we were constantly scrambling in defence. That sets the game up perfectly for players like Turbo Tom. Compare that to the top teams who make sure the ball doesn't get played until their line is set.

. Please justify...1:Jennings staying on the field for 20 weeks 2: Mbye staying at fullback as long as he did 3: Marsters staying in the team all season when he hasn’t stepped anyone like we know he can since round 1 AND he runs into tackles leading with his back take a look at every tackle made on him last night ..That’s why we don’t see him he just gets engulfed and you cannot break a tackle running backwards ..Thats what players do when they come back from bad facial injuries..4 Madge should have sprint tested Mbye before last weeks game 5 Reynolds should have been on the bench last night ....And that’s just the backs ...

6 Who lets a goal kicker - Marsters - keep kicking when they are literally losing us games for so long? and doesnt hire a kicking coach?

Madge would be relieved in a way that both hookers went down...Now he’s got a good excuse for missing the 8..we should have been easily in the 8 ages ago

Please justify, what? I only wrote about the Kiwi international and compared him to the former Fijian captain. Kev offered more in attack and may have even improved, well never know.
As for your points, 1 He’s gone so who cares now, 2 he came as the fullback and interesting that some football brains still thought him good enough to be a bench warmer in SOO this year (I can’t see why). 3 re above and Fijian Kev, 4. That’s the coaches problem.

My response was to Front Rower who stated that the team had regressed and I believe he associated it was the same resources and defence.

As for Nofa always being this good, well, he’s always been a good finisher but his defensive reads were never great and they have improved. He still runs sideways and backwards so really in regards to that, he’s always been that bad.
