Our middle forwards are so much better. I'll give Cleary points for not playing the game with Sharon. Not signing him has made us a much better team.

How good though has Aloiai been. You need some forwards who can have an impact on the game and all our bench forwards can come on and add something to the team.
Yes it’s the best bench we have had for years.
No weaknesses...Packer off the bench has been ideal, and Josh A is on Fire.
Twal never makes an error or misses a tackle. We need to keep this guy longterm.

It did my head in last yr when the impostor Cleary dropped Twal when clearly he was consistently our most effective prop.I won’t b surprised if he is promoted to the NSW team at some stage during this yrs origin series.

This 4 are even better than the brief few weeks that Tapau..Ava...Sauso and Gavet hit the mark the biginning of the season a few years back (recalling Manly and Souths). ..this bunch definitely turn the volume up when they're on. ..Aloai has been amazing and Packer has found his place in the world

The only slight question mark on our bench is MCK, but I think he is there for insurance, as he can play no3 or 4 at a pinch. Maybe when Chris returns he will slot into MCKs role

I had almost forgotten Sharon Hillbilly Pillow Woods until I saw him on 7 news tonight.
He must hate wearing a 16 jersey every week now.
He wouldn’t make our 17 anymore anyway.

I am so glad he is gone. We finally have a good bunch of middle forwards and losing him was the big step we had to take to fix our middles.

Chee-Kam adds some punch off the bench. He has a quality running game. Our bench has been awesome.

If we put the dogs away it will show that maybe things are finally changing for the better, still a long way to go in the season but there is very promising signs ahead if the team can maintain the commitment shown from the first two rounds.

Always the hard part for bottom eighters...maintaining the standard. Every season a bolter or two makes a rush out of the blocks then fade away. If Maquire can't keep them up from here on then no one could.
To be fair to Cleary he left the place in pretty good shape. ..a lot of coaches have inherited far worse rosters than what Maquire's been handed. Taylor walked into the biggest mess in the NRL..a board who couldnt run the club and players who thought they did...he.was told point blank he had no money to buy anyone so make the best of what you have ...he had zero chance of succeeding and there wasn't another experienced NRL coach that would come anywhere near us at the time. Cleary had a clean sheet ..money and REAL board support going into '18. (as Maquire has now). Potter and Taylor had none of that.

Exactly what I’m expecting re Maguire keeping the team up.One of Madge’s many strengths is we will start winning the games we r supposed to win .

Yep Rowdy will definitely b on bench when he returns & most likely at the expense of MCK who has been doing a great job reflecting the strength of our squad albeit sans a world beater.

Twal is a quiet achiever Ted.
I know Fiddler thinks highly of him but doubt he will make NSW squad at this stage..Hes only 22.
That was insane when Twal got dropped last year..He should have always been in the starting 13.

Aloai has surprised me..Hes showing great form and seems very fit.
I wasnt a fan of Garner , but gee hes playing well....Looks like hes put on some muscle.....Would love to have another Simon Dwyer type player.

Dogs are crap...Look like a leaderless lot.
If we DONT beat them it proves we still have old bad habits.
New coach,new attitude im hoping.

The way we have got up in both games suggests that we won't take the Dogs lightly.

If we play with the patience as we did in the last couple of weeks we should put a decent score on.

With players nipping at the heels in reserve grade and players to return from injury still everyone will be on their game this time.

Ted - so far your assessment of Madge has been spot on. I thought Cleary was great but Madge seems better.

How many of us were expecting to start of this well.

I am though worried about this game.

I expected maybe win 2 max,out of first 3 games.....
But what im seeing is an 80min performance...
We could have put the cue in the rack after leading Warriors and let in a few soft tries, but we kept scoring points.
I havent seen that for a few years...We never thrashed teams.

Normally I would also b worried about this game. However under Madge’s tutelage there will b zero complacency & the team will b optimally prepared.

Madge is the finest appointment this club has made since the day we signed the peerless Gareth Ellis !
