Bateman and Api were outstanding. That 15 minute period shows what needs to be done. If they can produce that style of play for even 50 to 60 minutes we'll win a lot of games. Wakeham to start and I'd give him the pick of whether he wanted to play 6 or 7. He seemed to be in tune with what Api and the forwards were doing and at least supported at pace rather than doing things half arsed or standing still.

Bateman is the mongrel we have been waiting for. He put the other forwards to shame. He's also our smallest by far.

I don't know what to do with the other halves spot or fullback. We don't have any half decent options at all.

It's not hard. When you shift the ball wide someone needs to straighten the attack and have people running into gaps or half gaps. Support the ball barrier at all times. Change the point of the attack every now again and send someone back up the guts, and when you do, support him!!!!

What was encouraging was that we showed for a short period when Wakeham came on, we can execute in attack. The downside was everything outside that 15 minutes.

I'm very interested to see the team we pick next week. If Wakeham isn't in the starting side there is something corrupt going on.

Didn't wakeham carve up Canberra in the trial match?
