The place needs a shrink / mind work coach ..we’d prob be top 4 in a week.
Greg Norman said that was his biggest regret not doing that stuff and would have made a big difference when he used to choke all the time

That’s not aggressive that’s explanatory..

You say Kepa has talent and u seem to care about how he feels despite today esp, and on more than one occasion previously being an embarrassment to our club...and with no evidence that u agree with me, Im thinking you may think he will come right with time..So I’m just clarifying things for you.

I think Brooks is enough of an example of where - being sympathetic, waiting for that talent to emerge and assuming he will come right because of his raw talent - will get us and should be discouraged..

Oh ok. Well I think he has talent, but is not ready for first grade just yet - maybe he never will, but for now he’s not the solution. Hope that makes sense

Bradman Best would of been a handful. Their backs were terrible. I thought defensively for periods we defended pretty well. We were in control for a long period and completion rate was good. Brooks was good in attack but again our attack is still flat. The 2 six agains then losing it on tackle one which they scored twice from actually made it close. It was an improvement. I thought the Knights forwards Klemmer, Saiafiti and Frizell 3 origin forwards played well but seem to not give offloads. If we lost parra would smash us. Now we won be closer at least I reckon.
Vozzy, Klemmer especially is known for his great offloads.
We went on a mission to stop them. I remember him only getting one away.
We shut him down intentionally . . . and did it to a plan.

Newcastle have a good forward pack and we easily matched them. Our bench was really good especially Stef U. Luc had another average game but Garner was great. If anything Connor Watson made a real difference with that pace around the middle.

Our forwards r superb & we have enormous depth in the forwards.Blore & Amone r 1st graders & will keep y’days pack on their toes.Obviously the 1 is a star in the making & ive never had any doubt about AD succeeding at 6.They were both fabulous yday.My main concern apart from the 7 who is an obvious liability is the pissweak & total lack of awareness re the basics of defending of our entire 3/4 line. It’s an irritating endemic issue we’ve had for yrs.If our 3/4’s weren’t such shit defenders we would deadset walk into the 8.

Fortunately for us Edrick Lee who owns us & Bradman were missing yday.I’m not taking anything away from the win & stoked for the team that weve broken the duck & hopefully they derive the confidence to move on to bigger & better things this season.

Lol is that Nofa flipping the bird to those knits fans?

classic

We love a bit of grunt and assholism from the players in the appropriate moment.

I hope @Fordy20 walked out of the ground in slow motion, drunk and proud, finger held high in conquest.

We were supposed to be smashed into the next world lol.

I’m happy to chuck in $10 for @Fordy20 s next attendance. Who’s with me lads?!

He doesn’t want pledges, cash up front.

If he can find him, he can belt @Rhyno at the game for another $3.50. Should be easy to spot.

I was concerned about AD's defense but I also thought he would get it right but it might take time. His defense was better than good. He is a huge step up on Benji because he is more solid in attack and his defense is a million times better.

Brooks was very good yesterday. I honestly think he is a good player but people expect him to be great. If he is more of a foil to another half then I think he can play a positive role.

I don't think it's just our 3/4 line. That left edge looks poor defensively but the right side for once looks fine. We also got splitup the middle especially with Watson coming through with some pace.

A couple of areas where we could possibly improve are:-

1. Jake Simpkins coming in. Liddle to me is okay and deserves more time. I think Jake Simpkins looks better.
2. Maybe move Mbye to left centre. His defense is good and if we can sure up the left side defense we may improve.

I reckon Tuki Simpkins would slot into the side really well and some players are going to miss out. I think Tamou to me looks like the odd man out in the middle if we picking the team on form.

Next week I'd be dropping AJ, moving Talau to the wing and putting Mbye at centre. Jake Simpkin gets the open spot on the bench.

Liddle's dummy half service really struggles to get us on the front foot. We need better speed and direction than he can provide.
I thought Liddle was pretty good. Mbye was pretty ordinary at dummy half, but he is handy. I’m no fan of two hookers on the bench. Can Simpkin play in the halves?

Tiger 05, you are right about Tamou.
I don't know what we should have expected, but he doesn't stand out.
Is it a case of our recall from Penrith with him being a better player in the middle of a better team ?
Dunno. But like I said, he is just blending in at the moment.
Our forwards went well yesterday, and shut down a lot of offloads from the knights. Klemmer especially. That bloke would normally offload at least 3 out of 4 carries. We limited him to 1 that I remember. We wrapped up their arms in tackles time after time, and it frustrated them. Connor Watson was a livewire for them, but our forwards more than held their own.
Can't wait till we see Blore, the Simpinkses and maybe even Tuilagi.

At least Tamau was getting into the boys when the game was in the balance just after Newcastle’s last try. I noticed Mbye having his say as well wtf ...that must have been just before Newcastle’s last try..

I did notice in one of Tamau interviews about how and why before the weekends game he was full of cliches and didn’t reveal anything which I thought was unimpressive for a captain.
