Very interested to see how Grant goes this weekend. Hope he has a blinder and the break gives Smith the will to play on another year so Grant can void his contract in Melbourne. Having said that he'll probably them sign with another club.

Off memory, which admittedly isn't great the Sharks aren't a very good first up team?

Hopefully we have been working hard on our right side defence. It's been piss poor especially against Newcastle. Also looking forward to seeing what the pack can do.

Any news on Packer? I remember we were looking to try and medically retire him? Any late mail on that? I think he indicated he was against it and wanted to play on.

I'm a bit worried about the new 6 again rule and how we'll adapt to it, or won't adapt. It seems like it's going suit teams that can re-organise themselves quickly after a bust. Sadly, I can't see us being too crash hot here.

Based on everything, I see us finishing 12 to 16 on the ladder this year. We don't have a deep squad and our reaction to any kind of adversity is generally poor.

Hope I'm wrong though. Go Tigs!!

On your defence point I personally would swap Garner with Luciano Leilua.

I think we have good depth relative to some of the other sides. Plenty of NRL experience among those who are not playing tonight. 18 straight matches means most clubs will use 25 players at the very least.

Based on what I have read I'd like to think that Packer will play a role in the last 10 or so matches. I also hope Blore is with him on the bench by then. I don't rate think Clark is NRL standard although the quicker game suits smaller props with endurance like him.

First 10 was great, but then we had no ball and sucked which is predictable

Wade Graham been the difference

New rules might mean a faster game but the 10m is non existent which suits them

grant has been going great. Very pleased with his work out of dummy half. Sharp, quick, good vision and direction. The first 10 minutes were great. unfortunately that's where it ends. The right side defence of Nofo and blowie is a train wreck.

Our kicking game has been deplorable

On the bright side we are only 6 behind with a mountain of improvement possible......

We’re even making Josh Dugan look good ffs. Sharks a lot more aggressive in defense, I know we talk up our forwards a bit but they are playing pretty puss atm

Ive warned you not to talk our pack up mate.
They are a bunch of inconsistent tryhards at best.

That was a good win. Our pack were pretty darn good. Aloiai & Mikaele were great in the middle. Twal worked hard all game. LL & Garner are good edge players who have an impact. Grant was really good. Benji and Brooks killed it off the back of that play.

Nofo is a beast. AD looks likely.

Well that was a different 2nd half, Aloiai & Mikaeles 2nd stint was very good. Agree with you there though, bit worrying how they have to wait until we are getting embarrassed before they fire up. Wish they could play like that for 80 mins

Walters was enormous and I think we have this two dummy half thing worked out nicely

Gotta give credit to Walters mate, he was the difference in the end aswell as a change in attitude in the forwards imo

A rollercoaster ride for us, but got there in the end, so pleasing, hopefully we can only get better from here.
I thought the Grant & Walters swap worked really well.
Wonder why Musgrove didn't play?

He was unreal. He made a real difference when he came on. Good runs and he was creating in the middle.

I like our team. I think we will have some shockers but we have good middle forwards, good options on the edge, creative halves and we look to have some skill and speed in that 9 spot now.
