That's an interesting one. Hard to argue with, Jacob has always been well behind his brother, but it feels like he's slipping a bit further back even... and Dans progress hasn't exactly been monumental this year.

You're going to get a bit of 2 steps forward, 1 step back with most kids. Blokes of the Saifitis age and experience shouldn't be so heavily leaned on anywhere near as heavily as we do... if we were in a better situation it would be standard practice to be dropping these blokes in and out.

Jacob was in doubt with a concussion so maybe that had something to do with it

Reserve Jacob Saifiti and hooker Danny Levi must pass concussion protocols and forward Mitch Barnett and pivot Brock Lamb picked up niggles in the Penrith rout

Really whats the hold up with bird, its been made quite clear that holmes and maloney are holding him from playing the position that he wants.parra and us offering big coin for him.is he fluffing around to see if sharks will budge.has he even gone and visited parra facilities and had a chat with brad arthur?i get he would be reluctant to come to us but if he is a man of his word about his position choice then its not cronulla obviously.

I'm expecting today to be pretty ugly. Bad week to get the premiers when we really need to regain confidence with a respectable result. A narrow loss to anyone would be better than another humiliating thrashing, which is almost certainly what the Sharks will give us.

It's sad when you have fingers crossed for a scoreline like a 30-16 loss.

In fact my biggest fear is that we're so bad Jack Bird realises he can't waste his talent at our club.

We should just do it. This year is still about experience. We wont be winning any trophies.

Jeez this King in NYC looks a prospect. Wonder who'll poach him? My money is on the Raiders.

Pauli looks pretty fit and strong. Would love to see him have a big season and kick on next year as the impact bench forward we need.

So out of all the games when we need size, brown decides to drop Jacob saifiti yet keep stone and Yates on the bench. I can't see any sense in this.

I think this is what you call putting a rocket up someone. Yates and Stone don't have hunger issues, Jacob probably does. Big minutes at lock in 2nd grade should be good for him.

Well I guess brown is looking at this game as a guaranteed loss and sees it as an opportunity to put this rocket up Jacob.

Sharks pack is ferocious and big but their bench isn't all that big. Bukuya, Heighington, Segyaro and Latimore. I don't reckon our small bench will be that much of an issue. Jacob as the biggest bopper on our bench has done a poor job for a few weeks in a row so Tupou doesn't have much to live up to.

It's Fifita, Prior and Gallen vs Starling and Saifiti that is the worry.

True. Wonder if it's worth starting tupou in the run on side against his old team. He can handle it and you would think he would be up for this game. Have starling come off the bench.

I still want Meaney in first-grade. No star but at least he is a pure fullback from what I've seen.

I hope Jacob is playing big minutes.
