Denniss has shown he hasn't improved. Feeney can't kick, can't pass and can't organize well enough for a half. His running game and defence have been good however. Meaney has been great positioning wise at the back. Randell has been good getting the forwards on the front foot, but went off with a hand injury. Pauli better than expected, fitness seems not too bad considering. Safiti tried to make an impact, and did, but is limited by his conditioning. King has been good, not as impressive as King in the Holden Cup.

Jacob saifiti ended up playing about 27 minutes in the second half.

Gagan just made a line break and put fat pat over. Should win from here

Jeez this King in NYC looks a prospect. Wonder who'll poach him? My money is on the Raiders.

This is exactly the type of player we can't afford to lose. Granted, i've never seen the kid play but I have enough respect for the judgement of most posters in here to know that he must have plenty of potential. We should table him a longer term offer asap. Even if we play slight overs, this is the only way we're going to be competitive again.

Josh king, meaney, j saifiti have been good. Pauli has been solid. Feeney has had some good moments and some plod moments.

Pretty much.

Pauli just sprinted back in cover defence in the 78th minute, 10 points up. That was fantastic to see.

Feeney could make a centre if he gets his defence sorted. Fullback really is his spot (as in he is a good runner and has enough ball playing and support to do it) but he needed to start playing there in under 7s, just can't read the game from the back (or catch very well).

Yeah I feel as though if Feeney is going to have a shot, centre would be his best bet at this stage. Doubt it will happen though.

I thought Pauli was a bit better than solid. He made every run count. Bent the line and successfully offloaded or got into position to offload. He also just looked in excellent shape, not carrying any extra weight at all.

I'd have him back in first grade asap. Makes that bench bigger and more dangerous.

Meaney was good. I also like that he's a real fullback. One of Feeney's better games, heavily involved and ran the ball well. Still got a poor kicking game.

The only explanation for this is that brown considers this game a write off and is experimenting

I think the explanation is that he wants to not get blown off the park and be down 24-0 in the first 20 minutes. And I can't blame him. Buhrer, Wardle, Stockwell ... these are defensive steel moves.

The problem is it will also mean no crispness at dummy half without Levi, so our forwards will get bashed even more and we will lose the ruck anyway, even if we start off with a bit more intensity in the tackle.
