Our right side defence looks like a massive liability against their lethal left side attack, and for that reason above all I can't see us pulling off an upset or even necessarily keeping the scoreline close. I'll be surprised if we don't match it with them through the middle for large parts of the game, and I think we'll score a few tries as well, but over 80 minutes the Panthers will get enough chances to take advantage of good field position and expose that Tuala/Toa combination especially.

I really would've been tempted to defend Jones against Kikau, with Mann defending at centre and Tuala on the wing. I just do not rate Toa defensively at all, his decision making is highly questionable and he's not big, strong and fast enough to make up for it either. Hope he proves me wrong tonight.

That’s pretty much it. Individually, our forwards are top shelf, but I think that as a unit they are ordinary and too one dimensional. It is incredibly easy to shut them down just by getting numbers into the tackle.

And on the occasion an offload does get thrown, it just ends up in the hands of another forward who runs it back to the same spot.

The rule changes have really worked against us too, as they encourage standing offside and bunching in to the ruck to rush the forwards.

We get a lot of 6 agains yet never make many metres, because it works.

That was too easy. Where was Ponga?

That's the kind of try that will make the left side uneasy for the rest of the match now, not knowing whether to come in or stay back.

Lazy there by Best and Musgrove. Also, Musgroves soft hit-up swung momentum into Pamfers favour. Lack of intent and desperation. Horrible

You're better off booting the ball as far as you can and if it goes dead it doesn't matter because it saves you giving away a 6-again.

Signs of Panthers really getting on top, this set is important to get through and get good field position.
