Agree. Yea the non sin bin was diabolical however we still had enough ball to win that game. At 10-6 down it felt like we were camped on their line and didn’t look like scoring. Our attacking structure is diabolical. We have no set back line moves, there’s a reason after 6 rounds we have 1 winger try, they never get the ball in the 20. Galvin put a great grubber in in the first few mins, then I didn’t see another one the rest of the game?

Sezer will likely miss next week, Tupou injured and have a couple of others on report too. We can’t catch a break with missing players. Brisbane get Haas, Reynolds and Pikira back lol they will do a number on us.
I guess we all expected yesterday and next week were always going to be the tough ones.
It was the drags and the dolphins where we would have penciled in at least one win from those?
Though, to be fair, both those clubs are going much better than most people picked.
The life of a WT fan is never easy:(

Found myself counting down the tackles waiting for the 5th tackle bomb lottery as that was the only way I thought we'd score. That or an intercept.

We are staring down the barrel of 2-5, but then have 3 fairly winnable games. If we drop those 3 games then the season will get real ugly... again.

Thought you guys had a good dig. Play like that every week and a few wins will come.

Ref was dogshit both ways. I get a lot of you being upset about the Olam ankle tap not being a sin bin. It should have been 100%. Only problem with that is Sezer should have been in the bin already with us attacking your line. More players on report than penalties given has to be a first. The Sezer "knock on" was a howler, would have been interesting to see how that played out had it been called correctly. Thats the one I'd be really dirty about as a Tigers fan.

A lot of last years shit teams have improved....sadly for us.

weve improved in a lot of facets, still lacking in plenty. were coming from a lower base then any other team. 2Xwooden spooners, whole new coaching staff and 4 new halves. due to injury and suspension weve had 3 halves combos in 6 weeks. our first choice (sezer and galvin) are 2 wins from 3 games

the dogs and dragons are the obvious comparisons. i dont think either are going much better then us. dogs have had a few injuries yet their spine has been in tact every game, same as saints. Dragons won a few games yet every scoring play is off the back off Hunt, a proven Origin and Test player. Worth noting that neither of these sides has had a player debut in the last two years thats had any sort of impact on first grade. Weve had plenty.

The Sezer penalty was a bad miss. however its entirely different to the no sin bin. Refs miss plenty of in game calls every game. Forward passes, knock ons, high shot etc, theres problaby 10-20 every game. When its split second they can be forgiven imo. The Sezer 'knock on' was a howler however the ref made a judgement in play and it was wrong, sucks but it happens. The ones that are hard to take as a fan are when its given the benefit of a replay and a decision thats given 100% of the time isnt given. When has a support player who just had to catch the ball to score been taken out, not been a sin bin? Ive literally never, ever seen it penalised and not binned. Its an entirely different game if Schidener is binned.

As for the Sezer penalty, Aloiai wasnt binned last week, so Sezer wouldnt have been either. Then on the charge sheet today Sezers is actually a lower charge then Aloiai.

I think the pleasing thing was we made penrith work for that win. Ok the fisher Harris try at the end was a bit soft but we were in the contest for a good chunk of that game I thought

a lot of half opportunities went begging, the olam incident where we should have went up 12-0… etc

I think we’ve gotta persist with this team barring injury / suspension

Completely different game.. The reason we lose that game and others is not coz we havnt got the players and it’s not our defence it’s our lack of confidence.. At 12-0 our confidence would have soared...The reason Schneider isn’t binned is because it happend further than 20 out from the try line (prob further) ..not where the try impeding penalties normally occur ie much nearer the tryline ..That made it a bridge too far for the bunker to even attempt to make a judgement. Because it wasn’t run of the mill it wasn’t copy and paste it required their unique judgement.. To have to make this type of decision absolutely terrifies the bunker..Anything that requires them to go that far outside the square and they will simply default to “no decision” which is effectively what happend . Pathetic. the bunker should be suspended. I mean that’s his job isn’t it. Or at least the ref boss should mention it..prob won’t tho

No doubt if we had this 17 against dragons we very likely would’ve won although we need to desperately turn around our deplorable losing streak at Campbelltown & hopefully next wk against broncos

Not gonna happen Ted, at least that's what commonsense would have it.
Then again I'm a delusional, loyal and have the blinkers on so theyll win for sure ;)
This is a real test for a rookie coach, dealing with injuries, successive losses and a roster with holes in it. Can he fix it?
As far as the roster goes we lack a genuine forward points scorer and our bench is poor.
Run your eyes over some of the top team's benches, start with the Sharks.

Agree our team was much stronger yesterday compared to last Sunday, just fell away the last 30 I feel

I have a bad feeling Brisbane will deliver our biggest loss of the year so far . They aren’t as strong defensively as Penrith but I can see Walsh and Ezra punching holes through us with ease

Based on their previous club stints, both Bateman and Papalii have points in them. The encouraging thing about both is that they both seem to be building up each week.

Yea that was when Fainu’s magic offload didn’t stick for Olam..that happend a couple of times.. I don’t know why the receiver can’t hold back untill they see the pass coming..No points for sprinting passed the ball carrier with no ball..or just not expecting an offload ..that happend a couple of times too one from Stefano..If Fainu or Stefano has the ball in future expect an offload. Those 2 champs will put up with that only for so long
It’s a timing thing for sure, I don’t think we’re too far away from being a reasonable side now. Just need to stay composed and work through our plays. We have a tendency to get a bit hectic when attacking the oppositions line, we need to forget about trying to milk the 6 to go’s, and get nice clean play the balls, sometimes it actually helps to slow the play the ball down attacking close to the line. It give our guys a chance to set, and it sometimes gets the opposition coming forward early or someone rushing out of the line. This is where the old heads need to communicate with the young fellas.

I’ll be waiting for the NRL to tell everyone tomorrow that the Olam ankle app, was actually illegal and we should have been awarded a penalty try and the pennies player should have been sent to the sin bin.
@Black Panther FYI. May not have cost us the game, but we'll never know will we.

Disgraceful call but it never happens if he was penalised for his late hit on Schneider after kicking doesn't it? Both calls were awful and both were looked at by the video.

Maybe, but he didn’t comment on that incident, I don’t know about your club, but we get these apologies a lot from the NRL, hence why I commented, we know they are coming.
