and why exactly should we have to have another ex-first grad coach like Peter Sharp come in to have to "smooth-over factions and tussles between players and Brian Smith"??????????

doesn't that say something to people about the problems in the club and where they stem from??????

all that is doing is admitting that there are problems and further placating the needs of poor Brian

it's time to go.........Brian..........!!!!!!

and can't people see that all this about if results aren't good early in the season we can then move Brian to coaching director or whatever is a load of shit????

what has he doen to get another opportunity?

if this happens, why will it be different for calls for his head half-way through each of the last 2 seasons (at least) being rejected by DF for the same reasons??

and all that scenario does is create instability???

With all the players he has lured surely he should be allowed to use them. I do hope he has learnt about a halves combination and playing players out of position. I think that with our roster for next year we have a lot of depth in pretty much every position except 4 the centres howvere the trials will deem who our centre will be.

Given the circumstances surrounding going on's over the past few weeks regarding the signings of talent that Daniel Anderson had earmarked for the Warriors and the fact that Smith is allegedly on holidays I'm starting to wonder if Smith will carry the reins next year at all.....

That is a pretty intresting concept. But the media would be the first to front page that. But the ANderson and the people we are signing are more than a coincidence.

the media did try and broach this with Anderson at the press conference about the NZ side this week and he simply more or less said no comment and i'm not speaking about my future coaching outside of the test side......

i would imagine it will be left until after the Tri-Series in a siliar manner as to what Cronulla did last season with CHris Anderson on the Kangaroo tour

all concerned probably don't want to mess up NZ's preparations and put the focus on Anderson and Parra rather than NZ????

anyway, i hope this is the case becuase boy their needs to be a major shake up at Parra

Anderson would be a good candidate but geez itd be a risk with all the players he pissed off. I would be certain that we would have a stronger coaching staff then ever but I for one am starting to come around with Anderson as our head coach.

i was and am still worried about Anderson pissing players off and the fact that he is a BS protoge that facilitated a similar fall at the Warriors as has happened here at Parra.....

but then again something has to change at Parra - a change will be as good as a holiday for Parra at the moment.....maybe BS is getting both.....lol ;-) ;-) ;-)

Did he piss them off or did he try and instigate something that disagreed with the Polynesian laidback style psyche that exists at the Warriors...... Judging on a few of the off field dramas that have quietly happened at the Warriors then I think that it wasn't DA that was the problem.

Anderson, if he joins, will be more than effective.......

Colonel...can you just pop your head out the window and see if you can see Ando anywhere near the club? He might be enjoying a counter lunch with Fitzy...just passing the time away :whistle

And the people management within the polynesian cultures (ie. Maori, Tongan, Samoan and handling them all differently) is supposed to be a nightmare, particularly for someone not used to it when they arrive for a coaching position.

Remember Anderson was the assistant coach of the side when we where successful. Was that success more due to Anderson than Smith?

well who knows Pazza....maybe it was more atributable to Anderson, lets hope we get the chance to answer that question????

you are dead right on that note Pazza........and the Warriors had a pretty solid defence in 2002-2003???

I totally agree with that. In the 2002 season or defense fell apart. It is still in shatters now.

It could be that Anderson was able to combine team harmony with Smith's coaching? It could have been a number of things. I do know that back then the players looked like the enjoyed their footy a damn sight more than they are at the moment

that ahs been the main or most glaring thing wrong with the team over the past 3 years.....how could we go from this intimidating, rock tight defensive unit - to this paper thin, try-fest of a pretend defence that we are now???

and all this talk about the Roosters gang-tackle defence and how they invented it??? well actually Parra and BS (and whoever else) really brought it into vogue during the 1999-2000 seasons and perfected it in 2001......

shame it has fallen to the levels of what it is now???

again, i just think that it is a reflection of BS's shotcomings and a further sign that he has been a good coach who turned the club around - but his time has come and someone else should be given the opportunity to do better from now on???

simple as that............
