 that the Segeyaro hit and the Prior hit are being mentioned in the same thread is ludicrous.

One was a clean hit, the other a deliberate attempt to maim, regardless of where his head is at (which I agree should be a mitigating factor, but should also mean he doesn't come back until his head's right)

The shoulder is stronger than the Elbow. And Segs hit Hornby late (You have time to pull out of a late shot). Priors hit was instantaneous to when JT got the ball.

The whole hit was rated on how long JT stayed down..SIMPLE!

Take away Thurston.

Insert Nathan Merritt.

You would be demanding Prior be suspended the season.

A Shoulder to the head can be potentially way more serious then an elbow to a head. Prior had little time to pull out and to react to Thurston's movement. A late hit is a late hit. If Hornby stayed down for 2585 seconds, Segs would of nearly got sent off as well.
The more you post, the funnier you get.

Hornby didn't stay down because he wasn't knocked out, what a stunning revelation. So clearly Priors elbow did more damage than Segs shoulder.

Sort of stuffs your argument but it was stuffed the moment it was typed.

The only bad thing is this makes the Dragons stonger, Prior is the Scott Minto of the Dragons, as useless as dogs nuts!

Almost as ludicrous as people saying prior will be out for the season I reckon.

Honestly if you look at the Williams incident he will probably be gone for 10. Haven't looked at the likely grading or his carry over points yet but he will cop a lengthy suspension for sure. Dog act.

Nothing like a good witch hunt.

So people aren't entitled to their opinion Snappy? It seems that any defence is akin to being a Prior lover? Well, I guess that means any attempt at reason should be locked away.

Prior needs some time on the sideline, that much is obvious... for more reasons than this thread has put forward. Moreover, all the 'experts' here might consider their love of the soap opera.

Yeah, I think he got Cooper with another forearm on the return (after e stepped into touch) and then Tamou came along and with two 200cm forwards standing over him he decided to leave fairly quickly.

Ungraded, straight to the judiciary, reminded me of Clint Newton's elbow when he was playing for Newcastle. Was a thug act from a D grade footballer wanting his name on the news.

Grade 5 striking would be my guess, same charge as Glen Stewart got when deliberately elbowing Anasta off the ball and in the teeth.

Dont know what his carry overs are like but that would normally bring about a 5-6 week suspension.

Matt Prior's nickname on Wikipedia has been updated to "Elbows" by somebody

an early guilty plea will yield 4-6 weeks. Disappointing for the kid as he was in a purple patch and a chance of that bench spot for SOO 1.
