That cracked me up.

BTW TR, dont introduce logic into a thread where bay and matt just want to bitch about management again.

Interpretation .... if anyone expresses a view against Raiders management or coach (except ex-coaches like Elliott) you are free to use whatever means is required to discredit the author including resorting to personal abuse.

Bay, bay, bay.

I have not attacked you personally in any way. I was merely in tears from laughing at TRs insinuation that you are a Pauline Hanson clone.

Like TR, I do get tired of the persistant barrage of useless complaining and fault finding of our management from yourself and matt.

Like you, I realise this is an open forum where personal thoughts are allowed to be expressed. You know my view, I know yours so lets leave it at that.

Bay, you sound like a guy who is pretty cluey and no fool. How about using your wit and observations in another way which may actually contribute more than the negatives?

I'm not asking you to be a happy harry all the time and blindly accept everything in the world of Raiders HQ, but just tone it down a little dude, ok?

I don't even think toning it down is necessary dubby. I think just offering something constructive to go with the whinges would be enough.

Dubby and Skip you might want to read this that I posted elsewhere ... when you find that post read the remarks that came back from T_R and Azza ... the same ol same ol dude ...

I posted a similar one concerning my appreciation of management but cant locate it (just before the Carney incident) but below is one just after the Carney incident.

Contrary to what you say I do applaud management/coach when it is warranted.

More the case Dubby I've never seen you criticise management when it is definitely warranted.

You might also like to explain why you have to state "dont introduce logic ....." into your remarks.

We are almost half way through the season (Round 11) and I think it's time to comment on our coach Mr Nobody.

I dont want to harp on this (*yes I f**king do*) but the game against StG/Ill was a classic example of how Henry is a learner whereas our previous coach was a, well you know the opposite of a learner.

Elliott would not dream of dropping Howell, nor would he drop a "high profile" signing like Best. Henry has learnt from his "mistakes' and given two players an opportunity ... both youngsters that have shown potential in the past.

Maybe it has been a coincidence but what a diff these two have made to our backline in the past two games ... looks more potent and at the same time more solid.

Players no longer walk into the side on reputation and performance is rewarded with a place in FG.

Hats off to Henry .. your're doing a great job for a "nobody".

I'd like to thank Raiders management and their choice of coach for making all the above happen.

I've been pretty critical of management but they have turned it around and of recent times seem to be making decisions that are benefical to the football club ... the current Todd Carney / Steve Irwin incident being just one example. I have a feeling they are keeping their powder dry for the signing of a big name centre. In my opinion their decision making associated with the recruitment of players for this season (Logan, etc) was done with the advice of Henry rather than Elliott.

Bay,

I acknowledge the fact you have acknowledged management in the past for some decisions they have made. I dont even need the above posts to remember, I know you have.

But dude, most of what you say is repetitive speel of blaming managment for not signing some big name players, releasing others, et al. After a while, it gets tiring.

I have never openly jumped on managements case, because I have never felt the need to (recently). I was spewing on the Clyde/Sticky release years ago, I couldnt stand Kevin Neil and the whole SL debacle aliented me from this club to a degree I never would have believed.

But IMHO this club is starting to turn things around. It takes time, it takes patience, it takes money and of course some luck (as well as good managment). I am glad Elliot has gone. I can see now how he didnt do this club much good and I hope Henry will rectify the image Elliot left us with.

But to sit on an online forum and constantly spruke the evil in the club and think it will change the way the club is run is naive. All it has done bay is left you with a poor image and a lack of credibility in the eyes of others. It has even seen you cast out to the land of Nod! (joke!)

As for the logic comment, that was pure sarcasm mate.

well congratu-f**king-lations bay, you can find a few posts where you praise the boys in the head office for a job well done... Must have been tough to track down those posts, i notice both are about 8 months old... couldnt find us something more recent?

I guess management havnt had much to be congratulated on eh?
Aside from:

- the monaghan signing
- the david howell release
- Laurie Daley returning to the fold as a specialist coach for our halves.
- the scores of U/20 talent we've signed, of which ive outlined in this thread, to no response, including the very VERY highly regarded Joel Thompson... and also Travis Wadell, a hooker who, presumably will slot straight into the hole left by James Woolford, the very issue you're complaining about
- massive membership increase, in fact early on NRL.com registered more hits for our membership page then ALL OTHER CLUBS COMBINED
- insiders with the club say we have more corporate sponsors on board now then ever in recent history
- insiders with the club also say there are some MASSIVE plans for next season, my mail is you will not want to miss our first home game in rd 3, they are planing some special event and from all reports are going to promote the sh*t out of it.
- the handling of Todd Carney, which was well supported by the fans, sponsors and even the head honcho of the NRL - David Gallop.
- identified TC as their priority re-signing and things look as positive as they could aside from his name on the dotted line.

I mean, you're right bay, credit where its due, and at present the club deserves NO KUDOS!
im one of the first to criticise when its warranted, but tbh since Henry's appointment there hasnt been much to whinge about... finally we're a club moving forward both on and off the pitch.

WITHOUT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM trying to make a point against Bay here, it was great to read the post above.

I actually feel that far more than any time in the recent past, we are actually on track and building as a club.

The Raiders have been in a hole since Stuart and Clyde went, but I hope and believe that the last year showed the first faint glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Really, management deserve the praise when they get it right, just as they deserve comment when they don't.

R69 raises some good points though, Bay.

Don't you think some measure of praise is in order for the things he mentioned?

T_R I'll answer your question with the following ...

Interesting article relating to James Woolford (nephew of Simon) being picked up by the Storm ...

http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22985208-5006066,00.html

I've seen this youngster play and he def has the goods ... it says something of the lads abilities when you think that the Storm have picked up a hooker to be a possible understudy to Cam Smith.

Are Raiders management devoid of a sense for the future .... I'll make a call and say yes.
