Still having trouble who to leave out of my Tri's and first 4's.

Yep, going to do what I do every year- $50 on evens and odds, first 4. Then probably cover myself with a few trifecta's, and hopefully jag the winner. Hope to get some good odds at the track tomorrow- Randwick races look good tomorrow as well!

Put a line through Ibicenco. All the bookies were backing it at the call of the card for triple figures. Must have lost a couple of legs to accompany its disgraceful form.

Merkins. They couldn't wait to tell the media all about it.

Hope everyone has a great day. Remember to use all your star stable wild cards and get as many runners in as you can. It's worth the most money of the comp by about 4m.

Ibicenco is in mine. Blowing like the wind is good.

Gee I just watched the Australian Cup and the 2012 Derby runs by Super Cool and I'm really warming up to him. Kavanagh reckons he's had him set for this and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it wins here. Has a turn of foot. Glass Harmonium ran the Aus Cup at a furious tempo and Super Cool stayed like a champion in a field including the 2012 Melbourne Cup winner. The Derby wasn't that different and was run very true. At his odds people should be unloading imo. What I really like about it is that it's got the sprint to take advantage of a sit and sprint, out of 13 he'll come across and settle in behind the front bunch likely with cover so if it's a slowly run race it'll be poised, but it can stay. Even in the Cox Plate he didn't move backwards and looked like he wanted more distance. Massive overs imo.

Agreed. Good roughie, particularly if there is a bit of rain.

Well the positive is that I have narrowed the MC down lol. The negative is...it is still an absolute lottery!

No 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, 21- they are the ones I am most impressed with. Going to risk against Falkner as I think it needs another season.

Best bets of the day:

Flemington

R 6, No 3
R8, No3
R 10, Hostling (drops back to 1400, Schofield on board)

Such a shit day to bet..keep your hands in your pocket if you can!

Depends- try to get some money early is the tip, and there are some absolute gifts early on the card. Covers the loss in the Cup IMO

Super Cool is by Fastnet Rock has to be a risk at the trip.

And Shamus Award is by Snitzel.

Super Cool has put in excellent performances in extremely fast run races over 2000m and 2500m. That's more than some other horses in this field can say.
