That was 1999. Now the 'butthurt' as you call it is because the storm cheated and robbed other sides of legitimate premierships and for a short time ruined the reputation of the NRL.

The home and away season is about winning enough games to get you into the finals. From there the best team wins. I'll leave it at that because I'll be damned if I'm going to teach rugby league 101.

It's almost as if the amount players are paid has absolutely no effect on how they perform on the field, and that Melbourne's dominance from 06-09 was a result of a team with a superior culture and greater dedication to their jobs than the rest of the teams in the comp.

So now on behalf of the Melbourne Storm i'll be accepting apologies from those of you who wrongfully discredited Melbourne's achievements of 06-09 due to their "cheating".

Smith stayed because he earned his money over 5 years (illegally) and can now relax and earn "normal" good cash!

Care to explain away 2007? Manly finished above all legitimate sides in 2007, finishing the season 6 points clear of their nearest rival and won all the finals matches they played against legitimate sides. How did the Storm not rob Manly of a premiership in 2007?
