After mass hearings, kangaroo courts, deliberations and bribes it appears that due to the injury list being full and the Storm struggleing to field a full squad of FG and PL it has been decided that Mason not be suspended from FG and is to be demoted to PL for the game against Penrith.

The Storm has lost Cronk and Arubusson to injuries and C-YA has still not fully recovered from his stress fractures. And I can tell you there are still a few of the boys nursing injuries so this is gonna be a long tough year nursing them all through. This week it is our playmakers that were really struggling with injuries
The Medical Staff are very happy with the way Matt (CC) Geyer and Scott (OverThe) Hill got through there first full match back and have cleared GT and “Noughts and Crosses” to resume in the CRL.

This week Penrith is visiting OP.

We Expect the Panthers to be fired up and Primed for a good showing this week.

The First grade side welcomes back GT to the starting side. He is immediately picked at Lock. Willie Peters is making his FG debut at Hooker while Cronk is out. While there is some doubt about his ratings I am sure he’ll prove himself as a great attacking weapon or and all-round player in the near future.
In a shock selection Dallas DJ Johnstone has been selected on the bench. The thinking behind this is that with the amount of work DJ has done this first third of the year sitting out the first 20 minutes will do him no harm and may freshen him up for next weeks grudge match v Manly. AK moves into the Front Row to Cover for the recalcitrant Charlie Mason and Feeney gets the Call up to FG as a reward for an outstading80 minute effort in the game last week and is named in the No 12 jersey. Inglis retains the FB position while Slater is out.
It should be noted that CC has not played in a losing side as yet.
Jeremy Smith, Wilkie and Johnson join DJ on the bench and we are sure he'll acquit himself very well.
We expect a Comprehensive win at our Home Ground despite the obvious talents of our Foe.

The main addition to the North side id Friend who returns to Captain the PL side. As most people will recall Norths just scrapped home with a last gasp win over GC. It has been determined that the lack of leadership skills worked against the Storm in that game. Also Charlie needs looking after. Friend has been shifted to 5/8 as Arubusson is out injured and O’Neil is primarily a Half/Hooker.
D.Scott has shaken off the Captains curse and it should be noted that Friend has not played in a losing PL side as yet.
This is an outstanding side and had it not been for Aubusson’s injury would be one of the best PL sides this year. As long as Mason doesn’t drop his head a puts in a top effort the side should do really well as Quinn, Kaufman, Bretnall, ImNotTHESteve Irwin and Co are in top form.
The only down side to this is that TaTa is carrying an injury and therefore will be nursed from the bench.

All in All we hope the Panthers enjoy the stay in Melbourne..... I hope they are not distracted by the Commonwealth games swimming squad

Shock selection news Scott Hill has been told that he will start in PL this week against Manly.
It was not necessary a case of hill performing poorly more a case of other players deserving his FG spot.
We at the Storm know that Hill will take it as an opportunity to show some character and force his way back by impressing the selectors in the forth coming PL game

The Storm welcomed back Cronk, Arubusson and C-YA from injury last week but lost Johnstone JeSmith and Tatalessie. We are thanking our lucky stars that this week it is a Tuesday game as It gives the rest of the squad a chance to recover from what is proving to be a tough CRL season.

This week Mnaly is visiting OP.

As this is the third Storm Home game, we expect the Manly sides to be fired up for a good showing this week.
This should be a though match with the Storm getting some key players back and Manly reaching top form.

The First grade side welcomes back Slater, Cronk, Quinn and the misbehaving Mason to the starting side. Mason Once again proved his maturity by taking the relegation on his big fat ample chin and blitzing in PL to be one of the best afield. Despite Johnston and Smith going down early UM still felt that the Storm forwards put in a lack lusture performance and changed the pack around this week. The a shock selection of Dallas DJ Johnstone on the bench didn’t really work so he is back in the Lock position and will have a tough battle against the inform Mensies
AK moves into the second Row to allow Charlie Mason to move into the FrontRow position that he will now appreciate a bit more that before.
It should be noted that CC has still not played in a losing side as yet.
With AK, ‘Buy’ Kaufman and O’neil on the bench this squad is possibly the best one assembled this year.

We expect a More lively approach to the game at our Home Ground As Manly are such a strong team only the best effort has any hope of being successful.

The main addition to the North side is Feeney. He has to be the unluckiest played this week as Feens really played well last week. This was done for team balance and he should return to FG fairly soon. Hill moves to Lock. There isn’t too much more to write, as the boys will do it all on the field and I don’t want to give away too much of the storyline.
The End though is a dead Give away. Storm in both :D

All in All we hope that Manlt enjoy the stay in Melbourne..... It is a great place to seek asylum from ineffectual and oppressive regimes like the one lead by Gallop.

With the all out attack stratergy of last weeks game Cronk has gone down with a Brain hemorage due to having too many options. He is expected to miss two weeks.
Irwin will not recover in time for this weeks game. but should be right for round 10s match v NZ.
Wuershing has broken down in training and will not be able to take his place this week either.

This weeks match is a much anticipated clash between two committed rivals.
In the limited build up UM is empashsizing what a good showing in this match will mean to the Storms Standing for the rest of the season.

The build up will be very light as we expect the match to be played only a few days after the energy sapping match v the Dogs.

UM completly conceeds he erred by insisting on full on attack hoping for a cricket score but resulting in a lot of pushed passes and a huge amount of energy wasted for little result.

This weeks message has been for steady patient Footy our our aim is to only beat the Raiders by 50 points or so :p  ;-)

Mason has got himself once again in deep trouble with the Storm match committee.

The clumsy oaf once again spilt the teams café order and again finds himself dropped to the PL.

Fair dinkum. If the club was not in such an injury crisis then he’d be out of the side already.

Big names in Hill (2 more weeks), Cronk (available for rnd 11), and Crossman (indefinate) are already unavailable so the Storm match committee has no room to move.

A win in this match will mean a great deal to the Storms Standing for the rest of the season. NZ are definitely an inform team at the moment. K

The build up will be very light as a reward for a great showing in our match against the raiders.

With Masons undisciplined effort during the week this week G.Turner has taken his place in the forwards with Slater returning to the FG starting line up for the first time since round one. Shortland moves to the wing and Kuafman moves back to the bench.

PL has suffered terrible losses in Hill, Crossman and Friend (still couvering for Cronk)but has retained the services of Wuershing and I’mNotTheSteve Irwin from injury.

Both sides seem very well balanced and are ready for the tough journey to NZ.

NZ’s Forwards are absolutely awesome at the moment with B Webb in career best form. If the Storm are to win they have to get on top there.

We think we can and I anticipate Slate to have an astounding game and finally cement his place at the Storms CRL FB position for the rest of the year.

From last weeks game "AK" Kafusi has gone down with a serios injury". As has Bretnall and Tatataese.
Due to this predicament Cronk and OverTheHill had to be rushed back to face Newie in this round 11 match.
Crossman has completely recovered and has made the FG bench where he should soon regain match fitness with some decent game time.
