funny.
The storms team this year is illegal.

but if the Dragons exact GF team play next year they would be illegal.

maybe that's why the saints will be losing half their forward pack this offseason.

while the storm kept adding to their roster after every grandfinal win.

that's why the saints are the premiers and the storm are the woodenspooners.

.

The thread is a hypothetical question ...I pointed out a similarity between the 2 teams.

...as usual dragons fans start having nappy blowouts left right and centre.

LOL. What 'fact' was that?

Don't blow a gasket carcar. As I said, nice try.

How much is Jeremy Smith costing you?

take your pick.

It was a genuine question carcar, no need to get defensive. You don't know how much J Smith cost?

I was wondering how the sharks club can afford it. Not talking about the cap.

Depends. Would Saints have been allowed to draft in $1.3M extra talent for the game? If so, Saints win. If not, Saints win.

This Year?

Would Melbourne have beaten them had they both qualified for the grand final?

I say yes. Inglis, Slater, Cronk, Smith, Finch, Blair would have dismantled their defence.

In saying that, congratulations to the drag queens for a successful season.

Pure conjecture.

And thank you.

True that. Who was the only team that beat them twice this year? I think they also scored 32 points in one half against them...

You keep those two wins, we'll keep our Premiership. Everybody's happy (except Melbourne fans who are still in denial). :D

I understand the point carcharias is making .... any Premiership team generally automatically becomes illegal the next season after all the contract upgrades etc ... that's why almost every year, the Premiers lose a chunk of playing talent the following year (or year after, depending on when contracts expired) ... which is why we never get one club dominating for 4/5 years in a row anymore.

Except for Melbourne ... and we now know why that happened.

So his point can just as easily be applied to Brisbane 2006, Manly 2008 etc ... and so it will continue.

Well Booby, it's a shame you dropped your load before we could hammer you in the finals. I was looking forward to it.

Perhaps they are using the "beer economy" and paying him in slabs?

Playing for the Dragons, under Wayne Bennett - 10 cases.

Playing for New Zealand, under Stephen Kearney - 20 cases.

Playing for the Sharks, under whoever will coach them, until they relocate or die - 8 billion cases.
