Again I ask, Why? Why does it matter if you dont get them till the day before kick-off? What are you planning to do with them before then?

I'm not planning on doing anything with it until 5pm Saturday, but what I will get out of it is knowing I have my pass ready come Saturday and not worry if I will have it on time.

Don't think I said wait until 5.30pm Saturday so no, they shouldn't just sit and wait till then. But ringing the club on Monday to be told that the expected delivery is 2-3 days away and then having it arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday doesn't achieve much does it? It is not like they are sitting there in the office waiting for you to ring before the team post them out.

So when should we call and enquire about it? Thursday? Friday? At least by calling early you can get that notification that it will be sent and received prior to Friday or if there is an issue the club can make arrangements for you with plenty of time in advanced and not leaving it to the last second.

See here we differ - I have had nothing but good experiences in person, via email or on the phone with our membership department in 8 years of being a STH. 3 weeks ago I changed one of my 2 seats to the one on the other side all in a 5 minute (or less conversation) so I dont see a problem with the membership department.

Well all I can say to you is that you have been very lucky because for me I have been stuffed around the past three years, where I have had seats double booked, to the membership department not even notify me about my requests to move seats after they have been made available.

And why would they order from the suppliers the stock 3 months before they are needed? The right thing to do is maximise the order quantity (and hopefully reduce the cost) by waiting as late as possible and following Just In Time supply chain processes like most businesses these days.

Because some people buy these packs/memberships as gifts if other clubs can get there shit sorted and have them sent before Christmas we should be able to do the same.

Really Suit? I can't remember the last time any significant number of people lined up against one of my points of view.... must be all those merkins I've got on ignore :lol:.

But seriously, if anyone's already aware they're in a bad mood there's not really much point going online on forums, facebook, twitstagram or whatever... no good usually comes of it. Much better imo to just read, seethe about an issue or person if you must, but ultimately choose to let it pass :). Zen etc.

Actually Bart, i am quite okay with my level of Zen. if i stressed as much as many on here about petty things like whether a membership pack i dont need for 8 more days arrived early or not, i probably would have required a heart transplant by now.

Instead i choose to worry about the things i can control and not the things that are out of my control and i do alright.

And i am in an arsehole mood most of the off season anyway.
Thanks for your concern though.

That's good to hear emjaycee. The first line of your post this morning seemed to hint otherwise...

And you seemed to come across as more worried about people's worrying than the people wanting to get their tickets a week in advance really were....

OMG, they're all going to call the club on Monday - we must unite and stop them!!! Or go online and whinge about them!!! Or delay them until Friday 4pm!!! :lol:

It is looking more likely by the day that I won't get my passes before Saturday and will need a paper ticket to gain entry.

My membership kit arrived in the mail before Monday, so certain forumites will be pleased to know that I didn't even have to call the membership office...

The hat could do with a bit more yellow, but meh... long term members have got over 10 of the damned things now anyway so it doesn't matter. I have no idea what the bag/seat sleeve thing is meant to do... is it meant to hold a slim cushion, that they forgot to include (or might give out at the gates in round 1)?

But it's all about the ticket, so the rest doesn't really matter and is just tat so they can talk up the value.

On another note, I got a text message today from the Eels about nothing in particular, with a 1300 number to "opt out". Since I don't like getting text spam, I called the number which went through to our membership department. I was dealt with by a guy whose name I think was Daniel, and he gave me excellent service :thumn, and ensured that I was removed from the text message promotions but stayed on the email list. (I was a bit suspicious at having to provide a mobile number the last time details were updated, but good to have an opt out option from pointless marketing.)

Good to hear. There have been a number of changes in both staff and procedures and it must be a tough inititiation for many of them. Hopefully we will achieve some stability in the future so that our members are better serviced and our club's staff know the ropes and have more reasonable workloads. Who knows - next year we might get the right team list for round 1 and if miracles do come true, we might even get our membership packs by Christmas.

Nope. As I previously mentioned I was a non ticketed member up until 2011. I didn't renew when the membership dept didn't get back to me on numerous occassions. I gave up.
I might rejoin soon but.

You can purchase a wsw membership.

Probably not as entertaining as league, but who cares.
