St George are in the joint venture.Hmm the best view point is from the source it self STGI not St George and not the Steelers. After all STGI won the premiership!
St George Leagues club has every right to claim 15 premierships as a stand alone club and 1 premiership as part of a newly formed joint venture team. They have the responsibility to see the difference between each entity... and they do....St George are in the joint venture.
Are you saying St George Leagues Club are not allowed to claimed a 16th premiership?
If so, you're too late.

Don't panic. The website link is in the thread. Just look down the page.Does the Leagues Club Journal have a web site. I don't see how directing me to a forum on this site dedicated to dragons fans could be considered evidence that a formal debate is in progress between dragons establishment and NRL statiticians.
I wouldn't use the word invalid. Disappointing is a better description. Quite frankly, the site has been disappointing for some time. The club has never had a great understanding of the internet and the website design and content management has always been outsourced. A lot of clubs do the same. It got worst recently when NRL's main sponsor Telstra (via Bigpond) basically took control of running all the NRL club websites.20knights10 said:Also, what makes the official StGI website invalid?
I wouldn't be as dramatic as that. We can assume that the NRL run club websites follow the NRL 'official' line.20knights10 said:Are you saying that there is an NRL directive not to dispute the claim that this is their maiden premiership?

The image you see above is quite legitimate. Unlike the baroness, I don't misrepresent publications. I wouldn't use the word invalid. Disappointing is a better description. The Leagues Club Journal is more independent when it comes to editorial and content. As I said, you'll get a better idea of the club's viewpoint there.
For example, the Club Chairman is quoted as saying "the rain literally came down on ANZ Stadium, washing away a 31 year premiership drought"
Am I correct in assuming that you are interested gathering information about the club's viewpoint? Or do you have some other agenda?
Well I'm all for a firm handshake and a beer. But we have to get to know each other better before we take it further.LOL common Willow I love you mate
Well if you're so sure you've 'won', you can move on now eh? No more pain, no more cold sweats, no more crying whenever you see a Saints supporter celebrating their history, no more angst at the sight of a forum member's sig file.SoftSydney said:but the gig is up, its well and truly over. None of you have a leg to stand on, STG is dead...
The team that won the 2010 premiership is STGI their site says STG is dead their site says STGI first season is 1999 hence the magic number is one (1).
Already explained my views on the site. It's run by the NRL through Telstra/Bigpond.SoftSydney said:Go to your clubs site and see for your self dont take my word for it.
Your response doesn't surprise me.SoftSydney said:What STG lawn bowls club and the Steelers country club say counts for jack.
I'm interested in seeing where the official debate stands.... I've been unable to find evidence that an official debate exists outside of Dragon's fans opinions....Am I correct in assuming that you are interested gathering information about the club's viewpoint? Or do you have some other agenda?

You must be very relaxed.
It will be interesting to see if you'll be able to maintain the illusion of smugness. Already explained my views on the site. It's run by the NRL through Telstra/Bigpond.
Again, you post these things like it's some sort of revelation. I already know what the NRL have to say on the matter.
Your response doesn't surprise me.
Again, if you are so sure you have all the answers, then you have nothing to worry about... right...?
How about this for a deal...
Dragons fans can celebrate it as if it's their 16th.
While the rest of us can recognise it as their first.
Any problems?
Its a bit like raising kids - at some point you have to tell them there is no Santa Claus, no Easter Bunny and no 15 bonus premierships.
lol @ Moffo. Desperate to land a few punches.
