Who gives a f**k, we won.
Suck it up!
Suck it up!
Effie is the manly version of Skeepe, or is that being a tad harsh?
I love it when sore losers come on and try to whinge about the winning team. It feels even sweeter when said whingers get the sh*t thrown back into their face by the league community.
When you lose, suck it up, and wait for next week. Because if you don't, you will lose - on the scoreboard and in the forum.
I don't think any of the penalties were unwarranted, aside from that stupid one at the end of the first half for Manly's penalty goal.
I am still trying to figure out what that was for?
Your all a bunch of filthy divers, who are coached to dive. Pathetic skirt wearing idiots.
There were at least two times after the 'final warning' from the ref to Lyon that a Tiger player was hit high and could have stayed down, but just got up to play the ball. If they had stayed down, a Manly player would have gone for 10 mins.
Manly were at their grubby best last night, knees in tackles, high shots, holding down in the play the ball. I don't think that it is any conincidence that the Tigers scored ~ 20 points in the last 20 mins, after the final warning came from the ref, meaning, once Manly were forced to get that rubish out of the game, the Tigers finished all over them!
Tigers players aren't divers IMO (except Fulton, he is a f**king cat of the highest order).
What they are, however, is clearly coached to dive on the ground as soon as a tackling player touches them. They have used this surrender tactic since 2005, and last night it lead to just about every single high shot that was penalised. The Heighington one was the perfect example. Had he not been trying to throw himself to the ground as quickly as possible he wouldn't have been collected by Kite, who's arm was at worst at stomach height.
The refs had cottoned onto in in 06-07 and starting calling the tigers on surrender tackles. They've allowed it to creep back in over last year and last night allowed them to run rampant with it.
The tigers received several penalties around the ruck for holding down, working over, and even that nonsense "crowding the ruck" one which should have by rights been called surrender tackles.
