He signed average/broken down players to huge contracts, both in dollars and time frames, and then f**ked off to a club already setup, happily collecting kudos as he went. The shitshow he left behind is still being dealt with today. It should have been a case of “you stuffed it, you fix it” but he didn’t. He ran away.
For that reason he will always cop it from us until these contracts expire and we can rebuild.
