I actually liked it after the second listen, I never judge anything on a first listen.

Only problem Ihave with it is there seemed to be some borrowed pieces from old metallica when the songs tempo picked up and it felt like half slow song and then they thought 'oh sh*t we better get heavy'.

Still I have a few more listens to go before I have made up my mind. I do think it is a good song though.

Not a bad song. really gives hope that the new CD will be pretty good this time around.
One thing about Metallica though is they always put on a great show. Regardless of the album quality, I'll catch them live again when they come back here.

Are you really surprised? The one good thing I can say about 'The Day that Never Comes' is that its better than any of the sh*t on St Anger, Load, Reload.

You can tell they have really tried to go back to their 80's stuff, but it just doesnt work for them anymore.

The new song's a bit of a mess, and the lyrics aren't great (Love is a four letter word, anyone?), but it's still pretty good in parts, certainly better than most stuff post Justice
