What if someone could train a heap of Japanese beavers to become the greatest rugby league players ever and they signed with Parramatta. The beavers end up smashing it and we win 12 straight premierships but during the 13th season they go rogue and eat all Parramatta fans past and present. Would you still say yes to the beaver experiment?

If we could include a fit Sterlo at his peak or a fit Lewis at his peak into the current squad and the salary cap didn't count who would you pick and why?
Stirling Mortlock. But I would back end his contract so the next merkin has to worry about it after I'm sacked.

I say yes to Moses for this year as he would improve the team and yes for him not playing if it is confirmed. It would be a welcomed short term fix that swings some odds the eels way this year but not a masterstroke that guarantees a competitive team in the long run.

I like the idea of buying him off for 2 points on Monday, that is how desperate the eels are.

Why bother having a hypothetical discussion that is unrealistic?

What is the point?
Well we went into this season with a roster the coaching staff we're happy enough with which was plenty under the salary cap. It's quite conceivable that we could have afforded Moses or Cronk if they were available in the offseason.

They wouldn't be worth the same amount and therefore their teammates would likely look different.

Sorry mate, but it wasn't the greatest hypothetical.

With the forwards we currently have, we may as well just sign some bums that workout off the street and pay them a full time wage and stack the spine with Hayne, Peats and Cronk; then source some backs from Kenya. Everybody wins and the eels results would probably be better.
