Why do you think Sheens has persisted with Moltzen at fullback?
Good young footballers in the past have been known to overcome a weakness or two in their game and go on to become very good footballers.
After all Sheens can`t be too bad a judge of a footballer, otherwise why would other clubs be offering him $500,000 a season to coach them?
On the other hand he will prove to be a much better centre than Blake Ayshford anyway, Ayshford is far too slow to be a top class centre, the back row is the future for him.

I strongly disagree. Why f**k around with Moltz at fullback hoping/waiting for him to come good. With farkwits track record that would probably never happen anyway. Enough experimenting, time for action. This prrk of a coach has experimented for too long. Put Brown back there and be done with it....or Meaney or Mackinnon.

You're on your own on this one.

Could not agree more.

Moltzen has to be in the side. The issue is where to play him. I always thought right centre with his ability to pass to the right.

Defence can be taught and A Ettinghausen is the best example. Terrible the first year, finished his career as a noted defender despite his outstanding pace.

I get a little frustrated when quality is not recognised.

I don't mind Moltz in the centres as well. He has a better passing game from right to left...but either is good for me.

Why do you keep mentioning E.T as your example. A better e.g will be Lawrence. He was a turnstyle to start off with. Most Tigz supporters were giving him sheet for it...not me..I backed his abilites amd knew he can be taught tackle. Probably the only good thing farkwit has done in his tenure with the club.

As a kid watching a Sharks game, ET played fullback at 17. He was perhaps the worsed defender I ever saw. He had no idea but became a noted defensive specialist despite his pace. It is a good example of how coaching can change a player's career.

Im sick of hearing Moltzen has to be in the side somewhere. From what i see is he can play 6-7 and he is crap playing any other position. If he continues to play as he has been since his knee injury Lui would and will be first picked everytime, so Tim may need to go elsewhere .

Moltzen is one of our best backs and far better than Fitzhenry. Any comparison to him is silly.

Marshall, Lui and Molzen belong in the starting side with Brown and Ayshford. To leave one of your best backs on the bench is illogical especially with all the injuries in the side.

Further, recovery from a knee reconstruction takes time and some of the posted messages by so called supporters on this site are weak.

This thread is one of the weakest I have ever read.

If he is so worried by his Knee should he even be in 1st grade.

Also the comparison to ET is a bit rich you are comparing him to one of the most potent attacking players to run around in the comp .I think thats WEAK....

You missed my point which is defence can be coached. Pace and the ability to beat a player can't . These are qualities Moltzen has and any defensive issues can be resolved through coaching as was done with ET.

In the modern game the established players don't recapture fitness and confidence in the State cup. His display of pace on Friday night suggests he's on the way back.

Instead of initiating threads such as this one, try supporting Moltzen.

Yeah but you cant install big balls into a player who has small ones.
Anyway the farkwit Sheens is here for ever so Moltzen can play fullback regardless of his performances.

How about sticking solid with our players and coach instead of negative posting.

Moltzen, Lui, Moltzen and others are our next generation of very good players.

I don't believe any player in the NRL is weak. What kind of supporter are you to make this type of statement? Constructive criticism yes, but if you resort to this type of abuse you don't have a case to argue.

So do you believe we have been satisfactory over the last 9 seasons?
2 finals from 10?

Moltzen must be a bit like Wagga Wagga. So good you named him twice.

Great team effort today however as this thread is about Moltzen I think it is fair to say that his effort today in attack was not that of a team player.

He looked embarrased after the Heighno try and so he should have.

I know and appreciate that he's not a centre and does not pick the team but no matter where you play, you have a man outside of you with a try for certain, you pass the bloody ball, it's a team sport.

I thought he was the weakest link today. I don't like bagging a player after a big win, but he blew a few chances. Should be the first player to make way when we get a back back from injury. I'd rather Browny in the centres.
