On that subject, we should all have a go at naming our full strength sides for next year. Then, for what its worth, we can determine who has the best side on paper.

Yes they may be unknown to those apart from Cronulla supporters... but that is expected.

Ofcourse nobody knew who Benji Marshall was when he was @ Keebra Park, or who Sonny-Bill was before he debuted in Rd.1 last year..

BTW Mitch Brown is truly a star... he has carved up Flegg at just 16...

Albert won you a premiership and you guys still don't rate him...

And Joel Caine has carved up PL this year from fullback...

Those three, apart from being extremely skilled, are so f***ing quick... Fastest back 3 for sure...

Our bench? Lovegrove is a Junior Roo, Flegg starlet, and has won consecutive Arrive Alive Cup as captain of Endeavour Sports High...

Mapp is a toiler who has spent his days behind Brisbane's finest for a while now...

Pomeroy is a star. Panthers fans will attest to that...

Latu is a NZ international... Warriors fans will tell you how good he is...

Anyone who's going to say Clint looks like nothing, and then in the same breath mentions bailey (who has never passed a ball in his life and has basically ruined Nigel Vagana's career) and Hilder is not worth debating with.

As for the stats question, they have their place in a debate, but definately aren't the be all and all. However, The only people who say they're irrelevant are those who are too lazy to look them up. I remember my old mate Kiwi saying something along the lines of "For front-rowers stats are a good indication"... but then again, I remember Kiwi saying Johns has no running game .

btw Saab, Johns is better than Lockyer ;-).

Joel Caine is as bad as they come...heck i would rather Justin Ryder or Lee Murphy

You obviously haven't been watching PL this year... But I think I might have is name confused, maybe it's Jess? Can't remember anyway... It's the Balmain fullback, second leading tryscorer behind Merritt...

Bailey may hardly pass, but that's not his fault... He is instructed to hit the line and offload, and if you haven't seen it, then stats will back that up...

And what are you mentioning Hilder for? Arguably one of the comp's most underrated players, a true workhorse, and is as defensively sound as they come...

You have no clue.

No I wont.

He'll be average for the rest of his career because of the injury he sustained this year.

He will never be as quick off the mark.

He was meant to be back in 2 weeks in round 15...then didn't return at all.

Newton = a poor mans Paul Gallen.

The bloke tries hard but ffs get over him guys...
Thats a pretty stupid thing to say because we're going to go back and forth saying Clints better, then Gallens better. Both Knights and Sharks fans will back up their player, so its a waste of discussion.

We'll wait and see about Brown before you blow your load over him. Unproven is what he is. Willie Peters was a junior star as well but never delivered at NRL level.

"Joel Caine has been carving up in Premier League". So has Nathan Merrit. Here's some news for ya: He's in Premier League for a reason.

Albert never won us a premiership. That was Johns. Donald Trump could have scored that try in '97, all he would've had to do was run 10 metres and fall over the line.
In any case, if you're logic for buying Albert is so he can bring you a first premiership as well, it aint gonna happen.

Again, Lovegrove is unproven. Come back to me when he's done something at NRL level.

Darren Crap has nothing. You wonder why you got him dirt cheap too.

I don't know how loosely you use the term "star" but I can assure you Pomeroy is not one. He's 22 at the start of next season and has only ever played 2 first grade games. A real standout...

Please tell me who the current NZ hooker is? In fact, name me one specialist hooker NZ has besides Latu. I'd like to see a Warriors fan comment on Latu. He's not all that.

No, not even your outstanding use of emotive language and poetic terms could hide the fact that they are in fact Neville Nobodies. "Star", lol.

That's what they said about Ryan Cross... he is even quicker now...

BTW obviously it was a poor diagnosis... this link says Pomeroy will return next season:

Correct but Cross has leg injuries....Pomeroy has a groin injury that is inoperable. It naturally heals but once you have it you can't get rid of it. It flares up if you push too hard and he'll be out for a couple of weeks if that happens.

I love the Pom but I don't see him ever reaching his true potential as a result.
That site is also wrong, because he didn't sustain the injury in round 23...it was very much so earlier and that same site had it down as 2-4 weeks before that.
