To Osborne's credit, at least he's gone out and gotten a coach who can give him better advice on player retention.

osbourne has already admitted he doesn't listen to coaches advice.

True. Ozzie did say that he was going to sign QC even though Ando didn't want him.

"We came as close as his manager at the time Richard Colreavy telling me to go to the airport to get him to sign the contract," Osborne said last night. "There wasn't enough time, and then he went away to South Africa and that was the end of it. He came back and signed with the ARU.

"Our coach at the time, Daniel Anderson, said then that he couldn't tackle and was of the view it would take too long for him to adjust to league.

Haha yes who could forget Osborne boasting about what a coup it was to re-sign him and how Mortimer would go on to be one of the club greats.

Clueless.

But good luck to young Daniel he's a pretty good bloke and should do well in a new environment.

Haha - yeah.

That fat dumb idiot then went out and signed Sandow, Tonga, Hoppa and Roberts.

Clueless.

Hold on, In July Kearney said after the Tigers game that Tonga had not signed (Osborne said something to Sterlo and Sterlo said as much on air) and that he and Peter Nolan do all the negotiations and signings.

So it's Ozie that does it all ? Why would Kearney lie ?

Gee Gronk, your glass has been half full so many times, it must be overflowing

The whinging on this board has become a bit overwhelming, why don't they go and start a myface supporters group or whatever for DF and DA, then we could talk more about footy.

Was taking the piss, kids. :D

Oh well, have to bite sometimes, guess I am over what has gone in in the past, mind you still a pain to see the hands of an ex executive all over the club with his media mate, becoming a boring rant on a regular basis.

He is a better player than most on this board think. Not a world beater but still young and if nutured has the potential to be a dangerous first grader.

After the Round 26 game against the Warriors last year in Nathan Cayless's swansong, Suity and I went onto the field and we were both particularly critical of Dan's kicking game that night. We stood 40 metres away from each other and couldn't believe he couldn't get that distance. Of course he's under pressure and in a game situation but one would expect your half to be able to do that.

In saying that however I honestly wish him all the best and hope he improves as a player because he has a lot of wonderful qualities as a human being, is very tenacious and spirited and displayed he has the potential to offer something to a rugby league team during our 2009 run. However I think for both parties involved it's good that we part ways as what we require in a play maker he cannot provide to us.

He'd probably be everything we'd want in a player if he was in a back-rowers body but alas he is not. Hopefully he can be more successful at the Roosters.
