Moses

In fairness to Moses and Brooks, yesterday although they were not great they virtually had no backline outside of them to work with,Simona and Nofo are always injured and there replacements have offered nothing every time JT has used them, why he keeps using these chumps is beyond me as it just gifting the 2 points to the opposition, this will continue until he changes his way.

Gone backwards for sure. Last year Teddy was out for extended periods and he adds a lot, both in attack and defense. Freak of a player. Along with Marty and Woods, the only players opposing teams would covet.

To be honest, losing Austin, Thompson and Blair (he was FG standard at least) were significant blows, and perhaps offset Teddy. The scary thing is we are clearly not signing anyone new for next year. Another year in the doldrums.

We suck so bad. Moses was just deplorable. He may well have the goods In the future but he doesn't now. He's just not ready and it's blatantly obvious. Taylor's positional switch of Lovett to the centres instead of Lawrence was pure insanity. He should of changes it after the first time Whare burnt Lovett, yet he watches it happen another dozen!

Tedesco is an absolute freak. Best fullback in the comp right now, with RTS in competition. Imagine Ted in a backline that actually has talent. He'd be unstoppable.

Neither Moses or Brooks are first graders. Utterly baffling that established footballers were let go to accomodate 2 blokes who should be playing reserves

I said a million times that we should have extended Austin's contract and told Moses he had to wait in Reserves. He would have been great depth for halves and fullback while he developed his game.

Austin's current form would have pushed Brooks to excel.

We need to stop trying to build fairy tales:

Moses/Brooks the next DCE/Foran.
Tedesco the next Slater
Sironen the next Sironen

It makes it almost impossible to drop anyone from the team for under performing when you are essentially building the team around fair tales of grandeur

Didn't mean to imply that mate. I rate Tedesco highly. Definitely our most promising junior by far. The next Tiger to play origin in a few years.

I meant was that we need to stop building these fairy tales. Tedesco may very well be the next Slater but no point saying that until he has that title well within his sights.

When your in your early 20s you feel entitled to everything. None of these players worry about getting dropped because we have marketed our whole brans on them. We should have built a team of solid first graders and then brought in the juniors that could cut it. No entitlement. Not ready for FG? Stay in NSW Cup.

Letting Austin go was the definition of what im talking about. He was told he wasn't in our future plans because of a bullshit fairytale of Brooks and Moses. Austin was our best player. Why the f**k was he not in our plans.

Tedesco will be a huge target for other clubs when contract expires. Under Wt at current and in the immediate future there will be little opportunity for him to show his ability. OUr attack is pop gun and the go forward with a dominant pack rarely provided. His game is suffering- he has stagnated at WT. Why would he stay with WT next opportunity to leave?

He is a good player and the potential to go further to SOO and national squads but can he do it with the popgun WT squad? I doubt it. Things have to change at WT or we will loose the remaining good players we have on the roster.

I understand the negativity around the club in general, but this statement is just ludicrous. Even with our inept attack he is still the best player on the ground most games. Perhaps in the future his game will suffer or he may stagnate at the Tigers, but that time is not even close to arriving. He is thriving despite all around him.

If you think he is setting the world on fire, fair enough.

All I'm trying to say is, in my opinion, at the back of a weak WT pack, useless halves and a pedestrian backline, he is not getting the opportunities he should to shine. Yes, he is playing well despite all the above but he is not part of a winning team, rarely mentioned as an up and comer (beyond WT specific forums), he is dropping off peoples radar.

My 2 cents worth- thats all.

Moses is struggling big time. He doesn't run the ball enough and his great passing of last season has abandoned him because he passes way too early too often and doesn't help his outside men get one-on-one or even on the outside of their defender.

He was doing that well last year. He's failing massively at it this year.

Couple that with the complete lack of variety in his kicking game, and he has become pedestrian.

I think Tedesco might suffer the Hayne/Stewart situation, their rep games limited by having one better in front of them - Slater . Top fullback but one or two current fullbacks are in front of him, Dugan will be around for at least 4/5 years for NSW.

He won't leave because he gets to play with his mates. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

I could be completely talking out of my as but I feel like the bulk of our team are not taking this seriously. A team full of such young players all making shit tons of money and being told they are the next stars of the future. They know they have talent and they know they won't get dropped so they can just relax and enjoy themselves.

Again, could be completely wrong about this but it would then make sense why Thomson and Blair left. Makes sense why Anasta was so bitter about his time at the Tigers. Even adds up when you consider comments Benji made where he said he liked being at the Tigers because he got to play with his mates.

Only way to end this is by bringing professionals into the squad. I'm happy to reserve judgement of Taylor until next year but if he doesn't get the chance to overhaul is roster then its not really fair to say it was all his fault

Austin shouldn't have been let go. Neither should Koro. Richards shouldn't have been signed. I can handle letting Blair go and possibly Thompson.

I rate Moses and Brooks but we need more from both of them. Austin though would've helped us out a lot.
