Mate your last paragraph is the point others are trying to make I believe. A side that plays consistently all year and finishes runners up/minor premiers, probably has a greater claim to expect another good year the following year than sides that go on a streak late in the season.

Tim Sheens wins this hands down. A side consisting of former and current test players Utai, Lawrence, Tuqiri, Marshall, Galloway, Farah, Blair, Ellis & Heighington played 2 good games all year against crap sides playing like utter shit.

If Bennett, Hasler, Bellamy et al coached the Tigers in 2012 they would have made the grand final.

Sheens' great success came from rorting the cap when at Canberra and a gift finals run in 2005.

The man is a hack yet called a supercoach. Hasn't even won half his games since 1997 for f**ks sake.

thats called clutching at straws.

they two are nothing alike. i stoped reading when you compared reddy to morris.

stranger things have happened, you never know. next year hayne might walk out after seeing ricky stuart tells him he doesnt like his haircut. you don't know. stranger things have happened.

f**k you're an idiot I said Morris is all over reddy if you did read it. The only thing I said positive about reddy was his defence that year was great for us

Look you're a typical butt hurt dogs fan. Didn't win the comp. now people are suggesting you may not reach the lofty heights again and you have a whinge. You can't take any sort of criticism on your team. You can't listen to anyone who may have anything negative to say you only read a positive comment all the way through.

Seriously pull ya head out of ya arse

Also on hayne yes he is a prima Donna. Doesn't take criticism well. Ricky strokes his ego ( says the right things in origin time) but I'm sure if hayne is not pulling his weight Ricky won't hesitate to say something. What hayne does in light of that? I don't know. Maybe he will respect his comment and actually do something about it or maybe he will chuck a hissy fit.

Seriously just coz I suggest dogs COULD miss the finals because of history and you're having a whinge? Gee you don't have a very thick skin do you? Could you be mr hayne? Can't take criticism well mate. Get over it and move on. This forum is full of criticism and opinions on clubs and yours is one of those clubs. My prediction next year for the dogs is to make the 8 but maybe struggle in the early games as teams will really aim up and maybe have a bit of a hangover from the gf. But one thing is certain watch inu struggle. Always does. Has a great year then hides. Maybe des will snap it out of him maybe not. But he is very well known for it

Again halves will be your undoing again I think

because of history? the bloke used history facts to shut up your dribble stupid rant. yet you still claim history as the reason, even after being shwon that it was a stupid incorrect comment? thats as good as your comment "josh is a running 5/8 and has a bit of size about him" so he is overrated. lol what a muppet comment. took away your "first year" comment as he played 6 games or so in 2011. what about this pearler "But one thing is certain watch inu struggle. Always does. Has a great year then hides. Maybe des will snap it out of him maybe not" so its certain he will struggle, but maybe not cause maybe des snaps him out of it. LOL. Inu like Pritchard and other formally inconsistent players have NEVER had a coach like Des. None of them have. During the entire season people were saying wait for Inu to f**k up, wait for him to do something stupid, wait for him to cost them a game, he will lose interest soon bla bla bla. He never did. So the lot of you can eat your words. Des is one of the only people in the NRL who gets the best out of these "rocks or diamonds" players. Just cause hes out of your rubbish club and not sitting holding the spoon with you, there is no need to be so butthurt.

im butthurt? why the hell would i be butthurt? i didnt expect des to get us to the gf in the first year or minor prems. im extremely happy, its building a culture and the winning attitude des is known for. your the butthurt with a wooden spoon so deep in ur ass and about to taste it again. the comments coming from you have all been absolute rubbish the other bloke told you to stop clutching at straws yet you still continue.

as for anything can happen, i stand by my comment its as good as your logic. ricky says i dont like ur haircut to hayne he loses it. or he tells him he isn't selected for nsw AGAIN as he is a 5/8 and he quits and parra get the spoon two years in a row.:lol::lol:

Like he said history of minor premiers dropping out is uncommon yes that's fair enough but runners up usually fail to pick up. Yet to be seen with the dogs so they have one thing going for them but one thing going against them too in terms of history.

With inu I'm saying he has a tendency to drop off and like I said I support that des is a good coach and I'd like inu to snap out of that mind set but previous years he hasn't. He is a genuine talent and an ex eel I still am fond of. I want him to do well because he is a very entertaining player but I'm not contradicting my self. I'm just pointing out he is inconsistent as is Pritchard 1 top year and just co he is under des doesn't mean they will keep on with the form next year. They could fall into their old habits we don't know till next year. I'm throwing out possibilities so dogs supporters arnt disappointed if they faulter next year. It took des a bit to build the side he left toovey. And he will probably need another year to build a top side at the dogs. He still has players there who can fall into ruts if things arnt going their way. Very entertaining side I liked watching them.

And on Reynolds even with his 6 games is still relatively a rookie player. Still very unproven and had a utility half with him in Keating. He reminds me of a for an type just like des likes his five eights. Tough players who arnt afraid to give some niggle. But I still think the hype he is getting this year (punting benji as an automatic all stars selection) at this stage in his career is unwarranted. Very much like Mortimer was heralded as the next big thing at parra and couldn't kick on. Reynolds is still young and learning he is lucky to have one of the best coaches helping him but right now he is still very raw and doesn't deserve the hype he's getting at this stage so for that fact alone I think he is over rated

Learn to take some criticism

You're butt hurt because people are criticism your team and you don't like it. I'm entitled to have a view on a team am I not? Like you are able to suggest we may get the spoon next year again (personally I think we will be competitive without making the 8 and heading in the right direction)

I may not agree with your points as you don't seem very open minded to be able to handle any criticism people may have as youre a one eyed dog supporter thats fine and don't want anyone hating on your team but its part and parcel of being a supporter you cop shit. But if you don't grow a thick skin then you're constantly going to get people picking at you and baiting you because let's face it you're easy to hook in. One neg comment of any dog player and you blow up royal. I myself have found it easy to bait you and I am not usually one to do that but you're too easy.

See how you have criticism of my club and hayne. Do I blow up? No I take it in and actually have a perspective that it could happen for all we know hayne could turn around tomorrow and sign for union or some shit or retire and become a pastor at hill song. Like I said anything can happen.

The big thing I commend the dogs on though is they got their club in check before bringing in a coach like des and the harmony off the field helped des bring it on field. I hope dogs go well as it will give Sydney a better stand in the afl vs NRL war especially with swans winning this year. It's good to see souths do well too

Now all we need is penrith and parra to be competitive and gws won't be a cause for concern.

My tip for you mate is to relax if someone says something against your club or else you're going to have a hard time on here

Forget Doggiesbro, he cannot have a rational disscussion. He tries sometimes but eventually the one eyed bias shines through.

Also if the bro decides something you said is wrong then thats that! No need to discuss or check facts, Doggiesbro is always right.

TBH i think he actually has pretty decent knowledge of footy but he is just such an arshole, the way he will just totally dismiss an opinion he doesnt agree with as the dumbest comment ever is infuriating.

Also he seems to think the Dogs going well last season is some kind of personal accomplishment for him, it is not.

don't be harsh on him, he is just tired after a long day at school carrying a school bag and a chip on his shoulders is hard work

betcats i do have a good understanding, i am not a dog player, staff member, owner or anything so its no accomplishment for me. i'm a passioniate member who supports my club.

i just can't stand absolute idiots. someone using history, then history being proven not to be on there side. someone saying anything could happen deadset. yeh the world could end in a few weeks so i predict noone to win. its just stupid rubbish.

if you don't know footy, don't talk it.

i've said all along storm are the only team who provided more last year, how can i possibly be butthurt. i never expected them to go to the gf or be minor prems in the first year, i expected a title within the reign under Des, im estatic he has improved the club this much within such a short time frame. i could careless how some spoon fan dribbles on about nonsense. i stick to facts. the fact is, if we had any coach outside of bellamy or des i would have HUGE concerns on pritchard, inu and a few others in the team. though with Des i have no concern at all. he has proven not just for 1 year, for others with manly. he gets the best out of players. be it a old hack that noone wanted, a untested unknown, or a incosistent player or a genuine star. its the same as bellamy. i have no doubt that bellamy will make lagi setu, junior moors and co very very good players for them. like has norrie and other nuffies.

It's a clear point that anyone with footy knowledge would admit and be excited for if a dogs fan. It's also why i have no doubt Tony Williams will fit in our game plan and back to his best. The thing people realise without really understanding is Des has built our team around a pack. He has enough class in the backline with some genuine stars Barba, Morris and some good solid players e.g Perrett, Turner, Inu To question him with any genuine understanding is one thing. To question him because your some idiot using a theory of "anything could happen" or "history says" when it doesn't is just nonsense.

We might not have a thurston, cronk, benji etc. Though Joshie Reynolds for his 2012 season and the 6 or so games, through 2011 he looks very talented for a 5/8. We can't pluck a superstar halfback out of thin air, though with Kasiano, Tolman, Graham, Pritchard, Tony Williams, Eastwood, Jackson, Fincuane, Halatau doing their job it allows sufficent room for Reynolds, Barba, Inu, Morris to work their magic and Turner and Perrett are more then capable players. This is clearly Des's plan. In last years offseason everyone said shit halfs, rubbish forwards, average backline bla bla, Des worked out a play to suit our strength. I'm sure he is fully aware of our pros and cons and will be working out what to do for 2013.

I'm a fair fan, granted one eyed for the Dogs. Take out the trolling and i can see the goods and the bads in most squads. Just some fans can't handle the truth.

I'm sure he does know a bit about footy but its irritating when he thinks no one else does know anyone when they're are criticising the bulldogs or tipping them to come lower than he thinks they will. Everyone has an opinion and no ones opinion is wrong. I've never said he is wrong at all just trying to get my point across which isn't a stupid opinion I don't think because I'm sure many will think the same and have doubts if dogs can recover from the loss. My comparison of dogs this year and eels of 09 may not be agreed upon by some but to me they have a very similar structure of play to eachother dogs obviously the better side as they played well all year but again not a stupid opinion. Yet he dismisses everything because its putting the dogs in a negative light somehow to him. I honestly think he is so defensive because they lost and maybe feels robbed as they were minor premiers? I don't know. Any gf loss hurts no doubt but carrying on like he does is just going to have people eager to bait him
