Mullen The Great Myth

You guys laugh at Mitchell Pearce but Mullen has even less composure than him. Both should be nowhere near a rep team.

I'd rather an injured Jarred Mullen over a fully fit Tyrone Roberts. After 4 years of patience I have officially had enough. Roberts is the most inept half in the comp. Anyone know when his contract runs out?

It's taken us all a while but now we can all see what's been clear to the rest of the league for years......Mullen is Le Dud

Whatever happened to the first 20 I'll never know. Was leaps and bounds better today compared to the last two weeks, looked like he was taking a step in the right direction and I'm doing my best to say that without any obvious bias.

Really needed to take control though at the end.

Mullen is the best 6 in NSW.

He should go to Melbourne or North QLD.

Given a decent halfback, he would cut sic.

I really mean that.

When the pressure really went on today, I think Mullen deliberately disappeared.

Instead of taking control, he just hid. At one point he was at dummy half.

He is shot, send him to the ESL as he's lost his nerve.

I don't really see how Mullen can be blamed for what happened today? Every time he'd force us a repeat set someone (usually Sims) f**king dropped it right away. We gave away too much cheap field position with errors. The few times we went up their end we scored and Mullen was usually the one pulling the strings.

In the last few plays when we actually had the ball he was screaming for it but the first time it hit Houston and he kicked it and the last he was screaming for the ball because he had Gagai and Aku set out wide but Roberts took it and ran instead...

The errors cost us, not Mullen. If anyone should he singled out today it's Sims. His repeated errors completely changed the game.

We dropped too much ball. Para completed at 91%. We were down around 72%. You don't win NRL games with a completion rate deficit that large, plain and simple.

Mullen at least offers something. Tyrone offers absolutely nothing, and everyone is dreaming if they thinking we can just dump both our halves at the moment. We might be able to replace Tyrone - but we are stuck with Mullen at least until Cogger and Lamb are ready. That's just the way it is, and we will need to just hope Mullen can come good, or that we can find a better halfback to at least offset the shitness of both halves crapping themselves constantly.

I wouldn't say good, he went missing big time when we needed him. The problem is, we couldn't hold onto the ball long enough to give him a chance to do anything for a very significant portion of the game. The whole team collectively threw their hats in the ring to lose it for us today. It's like after an error or a penalty - instead of our players saying to themselves "hey, better make sure I don't make a mistake", they say "hey - to make up for that drop ball we should throw it around like lunatics with our eyes shut" or "hmmm, Parra could use a penalty here I reckon. icing on the cake!" or even "shit, we didn't score off that last set, better score off this one! And early in the count, too!". It's beyond farcical at times.

Your backs ran more metres than your forwards.

You let in 28 points.

Mullen had 2 try assists.

I will always rate him.

He'd go much better at a club that had a clue, for sure.

Roberts is by far the bigger problem for us at the moment. He is actually poisonous to the team right now, right along with Captain Giggles. Clydsdale is nothing special at this stage and not offering much either, although he's the least of our worries in the spine at the moment.

He has to carry Kidley too.

I could go a spine of GI, Mullen, JT, Smith.

You would then see how good Mullen is.

He is not a one man team.

Yeah that's what I mean, the spine around him is a joke, and has been a joke for much of his career.

Yeah but to be fair anyone would look like a top tier class. Even Roberts looked like he was going to set the world alight in the All Stars game lining up alongside JT and GI.

Give Mullo a halfback that can relive him of some duties such as structure and share the direction this thread probably doesn't exist. Hell, we f**king win this afternoon and this thread is mocked and most likely will be when we win next.

So will I, and none of the constant crap thrown at him here will change my mind. He might not have led us to a premiership (and how could he anyway? We're a f**king circus year after year) but I can guarantee we would have picked up a few of those wooden spoons everyone was saying we'd get year after year post Johns if it wasn't for Mullen. He's literally the only thing we've had going for for 8 years. People have very short memories.

He was the absolute least of our problems today but still, true to form, his thread was the one bumped when we lose.
