buy? what do you mean by buy? Oh, I think I get what you meant, you meant signing off-contract players not tied to any club. Whats wrong with that? This is rugby league, not soccer, clubs dont buy players, in that they pay a club money to take their player, manly have signed a lot of players but they stay in the salary cap as do every otehr club so I dont see how manly can have this "buying a premiership" sitgma. There was nothing stopping st george, newcastle, eels/ st helens wateva, melbourne paying the same as or more for thier off contract players, they
chose to retain others. As for burns, he could get more money elsewhere and a starting position so good luck to him, but he leaves not as a manly player at the end of 2007, but as a guy who wants to play footy for whoevers wants him, so I hope the cowboys dont get accused of trying to buy a premiership over that.
