I've probably been to more Parra games in a year then you have been in a life time. And if you can see Ben Smith as our prefered long time centre option then good luck to you, however I very much doubt it will happen.

wing is past his used by date...and he isnt a centre why would you replace a centre with a hooker :s seriouslly all those years of going to parra stadium havnt done much for your knowledge of the game

besides you judge your knowledge by how many games you go to than geeez become a coach

Wing is versatile and can play anywhere. You do remember he started as a half/centre at Souths. I feel since he has been shifted to hooker his form has suffered. And if he's past his best then whats Finch?

I'm a coach:?

craig wing made his name as a hooker lol...and played his best rep footy off the bench as a hooker for the blues n australia

and at the very most exmtreme emergency was shifted into the three quater line

versatile he may be but he isnt a long term replacement...he isnt a specialist centre..therefore to replace tahu youd want to either blood a promising threeqauter like we have inu or purchase a player in that position who is on the market.

as for finch well he has a good game every 7 or 8 if your lucky...im dubious over him from a footballing perspective but in terms of what we got...who else u wanna have there? sure blake green could be promoted but hey finch hasnt been anywrose than half of our squad n whos to say greens the answer. Maybe he will be in a few weeks time will tell....this isnt Rugby League on PS2 mate

Sorry mate, Wing made a name for himself before he even played First Grade, then bolted onto the scene with some great try's in the centre/halves position.

Finch is a half back imo, however, I doubt he has the ability to create something from nothing, where as Tim Smith does. However I still think Finch will be an asset somewhere down the line. Blake on the other hand is a solid player, but imo lacks that X factor, but i still feel he'll be pretty reliable in firsts.

Personally i'd have Mateo at 5/8 with Smith, reunite the old Flegg days when they were dynamic together. Mateo I have a huge wrap on.

The 2 players you guys mentioned (Roberts & Wing) off contract?

I dunno, but the question is will the Roosters release them to compensate O'Meley...that's if he signs with the Roosters, I think they will.

Would changing and adding players really make a difference? Don't think so. You got to trust who you have, even if they do let you down from time to time.

Wouldn't mind Soward if we could ship out Finch as part of the deal, Soward has a brilliant kicking game and kicks goals too so we could drop Burt. Wouldn't want anyone else in their team since they wouldn't release Minichello or Soliola.

We could lure Andrew Johns, Robbie Farah, Darren Lockyer, Anthony Minichiello and Ben Kennedy out of retirement...It won't help the fact that what we desperately need are forwards.

In this day and age, a good forward pack dictates a match - they control the ruck and dictate just how the match is played. Currently, our pack isn't that dominant, and so before we go looking to open the chequebook and waste money signing backs, perhaps we should look at the engine room first - after all, a Ferrari is no good without an engine.

Monaghan would be ok if he came cheap. he has been crueled with injuries in the past few seasons.

he can definitley find his way over the tryline.

craig wing was consider an overated player back in those days mate..he didnt make a name for himself until 2002...sure he was on the scene before then but that was about it

beleive me by all means build a sinking ship with wing in your threeqauter line, you be putting a nail in a coffin of parras future

mateo is very much dymock styles and adds an extra dimension at lock....really a lock these days is a ball playing foward rather than a work horse back in the hey days of ray price n wayne pearce....so moving him to 5/8 imo wud be restricting his ability to just ball playing rather than a damaging runner of the ball ala wags n hindmarsh of 00-02

Those 4 you mention are hardly taking up there cap, Soward might be handy though...

Nutley wont go after 1 seasonm Beattie & Fitzgibbon aren't on a fortune i'm led to believe also...

fitzgibbon not on a fortune? led to believe from who?

he is probably equivalent to the roosters what Hindy is to us
regular aussie and State player whilst with the roosters
kicker
captain

That was 3 years ago, he was resigned only for a 1 year contract last year, probably more for depth as he is hardly the player he was back when Fittler was playing.

Wing signed for the Roosters once Souths got the boot, and if remember correctly a very tidy sum indeed aswell as being the hottest young talent in the game at the time.
