The stuff about Brian Smith is interesting. Hindy holds him in very high regard. Hagan and Kearney get respectful treatment, but Hindmarsh is clearly aware of their flaws. DA was also rated highly.

Hmm, its a bit like Peter denying knowing Jesus three times. Now we can't find anybody who said Kearney was a good coach.

I'm about halfway through it, got the digital download on my iPad for $19.99.

Great read, a must for any Eels fan. Hiney doesn't give away too much, it's far from a 'tell all' account but it is a very interesting year by year insight to his career.

Sounds boring tbh.
Maybe the sequel will spill the beans.

From what I saw;
95% of people foamed at the mouth and wanted Kearney sacked.
5% of people wanted him to see out his contract, usually this was on the grounds of stability and/or the lack of a suitable replacement for 2013 in their opinion.

Funnily enough, the people who were possitive and happy to support the previous coach, are now still positive and happy to support the new coach.

And one bloke seems to hate every coach.

I never saw anyone claiming Kearney was a great coach, some peoples comprehension is clouded because the bigbad Poupou was mean to them. Pretty embarrassing really.

And Hindy's book sounds about as boring as his hit ups.

It's the way I saw it too.

What SDM said, except as one of the 5% I would add that I also wanted to see some of Kearney long-term plans come to fruition and was hopeful he would be here to complete them.

That does not mean that I thought he was a good/great coach at the present time - but we will never know whether over the long term he may have brought us some success.

Que Sera Sera.
