Yep, finished it in about 3-4 hours.

I enjoyed it. obviously because he is still playing (and I suspect, he wants to work with the club post-retirement), he can't write up in a "tell-all" style about the new board; however, it's clear that he was/is not impressed, reading between the lines.

Interesting to note that he was not impressed with Graham Murray as the Origin coach, also with Wayne Pearce to a lesser degree.

He struggled with captaincy last year but came to acceptance that he can't and won't change his style ("old school"). He does acknowledge that new breed of young players are different to deal with; that you have to understand each individual and tailor your communication style.

Overall, it provides some interesting insights about the club in recent years. Perhaps not as interesting as Jarrod McCraken's book about the Superleague-Bulldogs fallout. I feel that he will write another book about his overseas Tours and who knows, maybe he will spill the beans about Inu/Mateo/Hayne..

yeah that part seemed really strange to me why bother asking caylo and hindy's opinion and then go punt ando behind their backs without even telling them about it?

maybe spagnolo and osbourne were just feeling caylo and hindy out so if they weren't happy with ando they could cover their own arses and say the players didnt want him thats why he was sacked

I notice on page 147 he mentions the opening game against the dogs in 2004 was on a Friday night - I am pretty sure it was actually a Saturday night . The night Sbw killed us!! He even mentions he wish he was having a Friday afo drink

It was a Saturday. I remember it well, especially the Sunday paper the next day with the match report.

So far I found the following interesting:

- it appears the boys drunk more piss then I thought
- hindy was only on contracts on either 300k or 350k - I thought he would be on a least 400-450 for a period of time. Most likely hindy never mentions his third pArty deals
- he confirms what a crap coach hagan was - Hagan never really had a disciplined approach. No wonder smith had a sh?t fight fixing up the knights - the players up there would not have know what hit them
- interesting the comments from when he started in the side and how the senior players (pay , smith and co ) kept to them self.
- hints that consistent comments from price and Kenny are annoying
- he doesn't rate graham Murray

A bit disapppointing he does open up about the jamie Lyon crap - I am sure the players had more of an opinion on the matter

He was Hindy's favourite player as a kid.

He doesn't rate Hagan at all, he said Hagan pretty much let the team run wild and it was up to the senior players to provide the discipline. Something Hindy said he wasn't comfortable with, he said players turned up late to training and even hung over.

He had to send a few players home, so now it is confirmed about the rift with the senior and younger players. Amazing that a coach can allow his players to act in such a manner and not act on it. He really was the worst thing to happen to this club in a long long time.
