I have no sympathy.
Newcastle made their bed with Tinkler, now they have to lie in it, They were happy to take his money no questions asked, they are like a MOB wife who pretends it is all squeaky clean when deep down they knew it wasn't

What's taking so long? I though if Tinkler didn't pay or screwed up somewhere then he relinquished the club back to the Knights members/board.

The club is making sure that Tinkler has the club debt free first, so everybody is paid up, all accounts settled etc, before getting the $10mil from the bank. Makes sense really, you wouldn't want to take ownership before all those areas are settled.

Not to mention the way some of their fans went off the second someone dared to question the deal.

Exactly. That and the fact they took a clean slate provided by Tinkler and racked up more than 10Mill in debt since speaks volumes on how the club is run.

When Tinkler hands back the club he'll be handing it back to a bunch of clowns who'll immediately throw their hands out to the ARLC looking for another bailout. And in 3 years time they'll be throwing their hands out again.

The sooner the Commission makes club boards accountable the better.

Chook.

Um, the club was run by HSG after the debt was cleared, so you know, Tinkler?

Any debt he's racked up since he took over is (or should be) his responsibility.

We have never put our hands out for anything other than short term loans which have been paid back.

Of course we were happy to take the cash as long as he stuck to the terms of the agreement. He has now breached that agreement so he has to go.

Intellectual giants like Bunniesman wanted us to throw him out whilst he was still passing the audit and meeting the committments

So Gidley, Harrigan and the rest of your clubs board and management team were what exactly, paid figureheads only? I'm sure a massive tight arse like Tinkler paid them to be make no decisions over the past 3 years.

Fact is your club had no debt 3 years ago and now has massive debt. Someone, somewhere along the line has been making stupid decisions and if you're happy for them to continue on your board/management team...good luck with that.

Again, the club was being run by HSG. You'll have to ask them how this debt has been accumulated. You say the club got a good deal by having our debt cleared, how about Tinkler if according to you he can own the club and yet have no accountability if the clubs finances go to shit? Pretty good deal right there!

You imply that after Tinkler cleared our debt he f**ked off and left us to our own devices for 3 years without having any sort of checks in place about our operations, despite investing (in theory) up to $100m into the club over 10 years. Yeah right.

If your club was being run by HSG, what were Gidley and Harrigan and the rest of your board doing during the last 3 years?

Tinkler/HSG financed your club in so much as they paid the coach, star players, previous debt etc. By the day to day running of the club was left in the hands of Gidley and Co who made the decisions that lead to the current debt.

You can't blame Tinkler for that.

Chook.
