Lakers doing well atm. Thunder have shot woefully in the first half.

Cleveland beats Chicago 4-1. Boston beats Miami 4-1. Cleveland vs Boston awaits.

Thats how the Lakers should be playing, awesome game today and Kobe really played well, got everyone involved and the team was just unstoppable. Also, loved how Kobe told Phil that he wanted to defend Westbrook and didnt it make a difference, he shut him down and the Thunder had nothing, we should wrap this up in 6.

Loved how Kobe told Phil he wanted the guard Westbrook? Why wasnt he on him from the get go? Fisher is a pathetic defender and Kobe just gets a free ride on the defensive end for the majoirty of the first 4 games guarding Thabo?

Its pretty simple, pass the ball to Bynum and Gasol and they should dominate. Lakers have no one to blame but themselves for this series probably going the distance.

Can the Lakers continue to play inside for the rest of the series? If they do, they win, the Thunder just can't match up with their length. It just depends on whether Kobe can subjugate his game for one or two more games (and that's a big if).

The other issue for me is switching Kobe onto Westbrook just glosses over the Lakers' glaring weakness - point guard - and is a short-term solution at best. If they come up against the Jazz in the next series, will Kobe guard D-Will? They'd probably prefer to face the Nuggets because at least Fisher can bang with Billups a bit. In the WCF, if the Spurs get through, what happens then? Where do they hide their point guard on defence? Parker? Manu? There's no Bruce Bowen anymore either. Ditto the Suns. Against the Cavs or Magic (or even the Celtics), if they make the Finals, there's going to be issues as well. That's why I couldn't believe they didn't make a move at the trade deadline. Fisher has been killing them all year, Farmar just hasn't come on like they'd hoped and it's the one chink in their armour that can be exploited by every other legit contender.

As for this series, be interesting to see what the COTY does to combat this for game 6. He's got two days to figure out a strategy so it's going to be interesting.

Two big games today - Hawks looking to right a wobbly ship back at home against the Bucks and Nuggets looking to extend the series against the Jazz.

Massive win for the Bucks and they were down by about 15 or so at one stage, a big effort considering Bogut is out.

Jamal Crawford continues his slump - as many turnovers as made baskets (4). Missed 14 shots. Egads that's bad. Hawks went scoreless for about 4 minutes late in that fourth quarter, just a raft of missed jumpers and turnovers. Lost the plot in a big way.

I'm sorry Mike Woodson, but your time is up. And JJ, thanks for the past 5 years but you've proved you cannot be the man on a legit contender - should have traded him at the deadline like I pined for. Now I have to hope for a sign and trade which is unlikely.

With the way George Hill has been playing, totally agree. Picked em to win the west at the start of the year and still see them going through, especially given their play over the last 2 months or so.

Suns in control at the minute, looking likely to wrap up their series today as well.

Replacing a red-hot Beaubois for a cold Jet in the 4th quarter...Interesting tactics.

Well done Spurs. Hoping for a Lakers vs Spurs WCF.

Josh Smith launching 3s...Never a good sign. Bucks up 19-16 at the end of the first.

Slightly pissed at the fact that i didn't put a ton of money on the Lakers to beat the Thunder today...paying $2.20... :fist:

Lakers with a win at the finish, Kobe misses a shot but Gasol tips it in with .5 secs left, now the Lakers will face Utah in the next round.

GASOL! The much maligned Lakers bench stepped up when needed. Now the team can get a good rest before the Utah series.

Also Hawks vs Bucks goes to a Game 7. Despite the scare, you gotta think that Atlanta's got this.
