You havent seen all the artists that have paid tribute, IDIOT
If that dirtbag wanker was worth shit, he'd be in the news
The nightclub shooting took centre stage, that neville was a mere footnote to a horrific story
Tupac on the other hand is huge and always will be

I think Immortal Technique puts it best when he spits:

"But do you know what I think is just pathetic and gay/When n*ggaz speculate what the f*ck Pac would say/You dunno sh*t about a dead man's perspective/And talking sh*t like that will get your neckbone disconnected"

I think they are basically capitalizing on the option to put one of the greatest rappers of all time, 2Pac, wit the greatest sell out label of all time, Aftermath. Eminem is a sh*t producer, he ruined "Runnin", his beats are all candy-ass, teen-pop melodies. Also, 50 never knew Pac, so how the hell can he get on a track wit him? He is a wannabe, has no skills on the mic, dam thats like comparing Thomas Leuleuai with Allan Langer. I would prefer to see an album with Pac spitting with the Outlawz, Nate Dogg, perhaps Snoop (if he gets of Pharell's d*ck), and dudes he used to work with.

tu pac got shot becuase he deserved it starting the fight before he got shot WHAT AN IDIOT

2Pac was shot by Suge Knight's associates because he was to leave Death Row and start his own company, Makaveli Productions or something, a nmove which could have potentially cost Suge millions upon millions. Suge then figured if he cant have Pac, no one can, and killing him could solve the problem. The work was done by dirty cops, which is why Suge has not been put in jail FOR MURDERING 2PAC.

That b/s about the bloods/crips is garbage. That Pac had a scrap wit a crip, Suge started that rubbish to provide a scape goat for his murder. Everyone knows they signed a "Peace Treaty" about 15 years ago.

But yeah, this album is gonna suck. 1.

Oh so true..... he's posthumously released more than Elvis, John Lennon and Jim Morrison and they could at least sing. They sample everything anyway so it shouldn't really matter - aside from a handful of words nothing is really original

Hmm. Everyday I seem to be defending hip hop. Mostly, I win, but I cant defend the latest display eg. Eminem's Encore, Chingy etc, I agree they suck.

But alot of rappers have a message. And man, its more than the beat they roll on. You have to listen to the lyrics. Thats what rap/hip hop is about. Screw the beats, thats only part of it. Listen to the lyrical display, and you'll see why these guys are talented. They dont talk about BLING BLING, that is wack. They also dont talk about love, so maybe guys like Public Enemy, KRS1, Canibus, Immortal Technique will never have a number one song. But atleast they keep it real. Away from the fake, commercial industry that is popular music. Listen to the lyrics, despit all the F*CKS, SH*TS and B*TCHES, there is a message. Listen.

Some do, some don't. Half the new original music  that is being released today is stuff I grew up with , hell a lot is stuff my parents used to listen to. Yes the lyrics may convey a message, but more often than not it doesn't. I listen to Public Enemy among others and grew up with Run DMC before they became really popular - I know that there are talented musicians amongst them.

However, 2Pac releasing another album...... please. The guy died so its nothing new at all. The only thing that is happening is someone is getting rich off of sampling lyrics he has already recorded and are turning it in to a "new" song.

dont comment on someone you know nothing about millsy, 2 Pac is one of the greatest music artist to ever live, his music and rhymes flow unbelievably. He was to rap what the beetles were to pop and that is a huge huge thing.

If you're going to have the audacity to compare Tupac to The Beatles, at least get the spelling correct.

Never in my life have I ever heard such crap. You might want to read a little about Music History before you make such claims. 2Pac owes his career to people like Public Enemy and Run DMC among many, many, many others but even they would never compare themselves to The Beatles....

Yep^^^^ 2Pac is more like the Curt Cobain of rap.

Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC are the godfathers or "Beatles" of rap/hip hop.

Oh and Eminem isnt the Elvis, he is the George Michael of hip hop.

the blokes only 17, so probably hasnt heard much of PE or run dmc.

its much like those who type their best ever league team...and all the players are from the 90s and beyond

personally dimebags killing hit me more than tupacs...but it effects everyone in different ways...its not on saying he deserved to be killed, just cause you dont like the music he played. anyway, each to their own...karma is a powerful thing.

I can't get over how much of a fool The Colonel is making of himself.

Get out of the thread before you embarrass yourself any further.

2pac owes his success to no one but himself. He was born a star. And it was a miracle that he struggled through what he did and became what he became.

2pac raps about REAL subjects with passion. The Beatles are just a bunch of clowns singing about yellow submarines and shit.

You obvious have never listened to any 2pac albums. If you had, you wouldn't deny his messages and passion.

To say people create songs out of samples to "turn them into new songs" is bullshit, nearly every new song, is in fact that 2pac made it, ready for release after he was gone. Only a few songs are cobbled together such as Changes and Tha Realest Killas.

Have some respect for someone who made several movies, 100s of songs, wrote poetry, wrote a screen play, did concerts and partyed. He did more in a couple of years than a hundred people would do in 100 life times.

Have some respect for some one who touched so many people world wide and made their life a little be easier, finding some hope and solace inhis songs. 2pac touched so many people intimately, what did the Beatles do? Sing crap dinky songs that people think sound good. Well that is great, if that is your thing. I respect that. And normally you wouldn't ever hear me diss the Beatles or Elvis, but I wont accept some ignorant pricks coming in here and dissing 2pac.

2pac will always be remembered, as being the realist, the most passionate, the loyalist, the greatest rapper to ever live, a fantastic actor of unlimited potentional and a man with a simply amazing work ethic.

He did all this in several years and was taken away from us before he could reach his true potental.

If you know nothing about 2pac, leave this thread now.

what did the Beatles do?

Well, for starters......

The Beatles are the best selling musical group of all time, estimated by EMI to be over one billion discs and tapes sold worldwide.

The most multi-platinum selling albums for any artist or musical group (13 in the U.S. alone)

The Beatles have had more number one singles than any other artist or musical group (22 in the U.S. alone). Ironically, the Beatles could easily have had even more number ones, because they were often competing with their own singles. For example, The Beatles' "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" were released as a "double A" sided single, which caused sales and airplay to be divided between the two songs instead of being counted collectively. Even so, they reached number two with the singles.

The most successful first week of sales for a double album (The Beatles Anthology Volume 1), which sold 855,473 copies in the U.S. from November 21 to November 28,1995).

In terms of charting positions, Lennon and McCartney are the most successful songwriters in history, with 32 number one singles in the U.S. for McCartney, and 26 for Lennon (23 of which were written together). Lennon was responsible for 29 number one singles in the U.K., and McCartney was responsible for 28 (25 of which were written together).

During the week ofApril 4, 1964, The Beatles held the top 5 positions on the Billboard singles chart. No one had ever done anything like this before, and it is doubtful that the conditions will ever exist for anyone to do it again. The songs were "Can't Buy Me Love", "Twist and Shout", "She Loves You", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", and "Please Please Me".
The next week, April 11,1964, the Beatles held 14 positions on the Billboard Hot 100. Before the Beatles, the highest number of concurrent singles by one artist on the Hot 100 was nine (by Elvis Presley, December 19, 1956).

The Beatles are the only artist to have back-to-back-to-back number one singles on Billboard's Hot 100. Boyz ll Men and Elvis Presley have succeeded themselves on the chart, but the Beatles are the only artist to three-peat.

The Beatles' "Yesterday" is the most covered song in history, appearing in the Guinness Book of Records with over 3000 recorded versions.

The Beatles had the fastest selling single of all time with "I Want To Hold Your Hand". The song sold 250,000 units within 3 days in the U.S., one million in 2 weeks. (10,000 copies per hour in New York City alone for the first 20 days)

The largest number of advance orders for a single, at 2.1 million copies in the U.S. for "Can't Buy Me Love"

With their performance atShea Stadium in 1965, The Beatles set new world records for concert attendance (55,600+) and revenue.

The Beatles broke television ratings records in the U.S. with their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.

OnJune 12 1965, The Beatles were awarded the order of Member of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen.

Tupac did what again?

woah. The Beatles dominated the charts, and had 1000s of young, hysterical, female fans. They must be right up there with N'Sync and Backstreet Boys imo.
